I have to say I have always considered myself a Liberal in every sense of the word. I took the words of our former president to heart:
John F. Kennedy defined liberalism this way:
“If by a ‘Liberal’ they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a ‘Liberal,’ then I’m proud to say I’m a ‘Liberal.’[3]

This definition that President Kennedy gave us, was true to me. I have never doubted what it stood for, or its meaning. But today, I see things a little different. Our news media, MSNBC and CNN have begun showing us what their idea of a liberal is. Somehow, what I see does not reflect JFK’s words. Maybe I was wrong all those years? Or Maybe JFK was wrong?

If being a liberal means that you have to bash women, and uphold Obama. Then I guess I have gotten it all wrong, for a long time. Kieth Olbermann, educated me on this fact, just the other night. His clearly sexist comments, showed the true person he is. Here are just a few of his words;

“Senator, as it has reached its apex in their tone deaf, arrogant and insensitive reaction to the remarks of Geraldine Ferraro, your own advisers are slowly killing your chances to become president. Senator, their words and your own are now slowly killing the chances for any Democrat to become president. In your tepid response to this Ferraro disaster, you may sincerely think you dis enthralling an enchanted media and righting an unfair advance bestowed on Senator Obama.”

This quote makes it seem that Olbermann is clearly angry because maybe the ‘obamaites‘ may loose to McCain.

Then Kieth goes on:

The next day, she repeated her comments and a reporter from the newspaper in Torrence, California heard them; “If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. If he was a woman of any color, he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is and the country is caught up in the concept.”

And when this despicable statement, ugly in its overtones, laughable in its week grip of the facts, and moronic in the historical context, when it floats outward from the Clinton campaign like a poison cloud, what do the advisers have their candidate do?

Then last of all, Kieth has a message about Hillary supporters.

“To Senator Clinton`s supporters, to her admirers, to her friends for whom she is first choice and to her friends for whom she is second choice, she is still letting herself be perceived as standing next to and standing by racial divisiveness and blindness. Worse yet, after what President Clinton said during the South Carolina primary, comparing the Obama and Jesse Jackson campaigns, a disturbing but only border line remark, after what some in the black community have perceived as a racial undertone to the 3:00 a.m. ad, a disturbing but only borderline interpretation, and after the moments hesitation in her own answer on “60 Minutes” about Obama’s religion, a disturbing but only borderline vagueness — after those precedents, there are those who see a pattern. False or true, they see it. After those precedents, there are those who see an intent. False or true, they see it. After those precedents, there are those that see the Clinton campaign`s anything but benign neglect of the Ferraro catastrophe, falsely or truly, as a desire to hear the kind of casual prejudice which still haunts the society voiced, and to not distance the campaign from it.

This, Senator Clinton, is your campaign and it is your name. Grab the reigns back from whoever has led you to this precipice before it is too late. Voluntarily or inadvertently, you are still awash in this filth. Your only reaction has been to disagree, reject, to call it regrettable. Her only reaction has been to brand herself as the victim and resign from your committee and insist she will continue to speak. Unless, senator, you say something definitive, the former congresswoman is speaking with your approval. “

I have to admit, I must have been wrong, I was under the impression that Obama was the arrogant one. Not Hillary, and calling the Clinton’s racist must be ok for today’s media. Even CNN has referred to the former First lady as a “Bi**h” For this they have tried to correct the problem, by saying. “Last time I was on the roundtable I was trying to make a point about Senator Clinton’s toughness and strength, which I respect, and I chose the wrong words and the way to say it and, you know, I’m sorry I said it that way, it was the wrong thing.”
I for one, used to have more respect for the media. I also considered Olberman a liberal, just like me. Boy, was I wrong! If that’s a liberal, then either JFK’s words were wrong or I was. I have to admit, I did not watch the entire statement made by Olbermann. I couldn’t stand the Clinton bashing any longer and changed the channel.

I have to say I find myself watching more and more of FOX, which is strange in itself. Because in the 2000 election season, I stopped watching FOX news. They were the “Bush Cheerleaders”, I lost all respect for Fox news at that time. It has been my thought for years that FOX was a propaganda network for Bush and Rove. But now, it seems “freedom of Press” means, freedom to bash the Clinton’s.

Now MSNBC and CNN has become a propaganda network for Obama. They have become everything I despised about FOX. If MSNBC has done this for ratings, it hasn’t worked. One look at the graph, tells me that lots are still watching FOX. Much more than they do Olbermann.

In the 2007 year, FOX tripled MSNBC’s numbers. So does that mean, that there are less Liberals than we thought? If we use President Kennedy’s definition of a liberal, and take to heart his words. Then we have to look at all candidates as”equal”. Not take a sexist stance against Hillary. It seems clear that is the position MSNBC & CNN have taken.

The reason for the ratings, could be that the left, does not like to be told who they should vote for. That is clearly the position of MSNBC and Kieth Olbermann. The position they have taken, is not that of a liberal, but that of a sexist.

Which leads to the question, that how can a “free press” be a fair press? I have to say, I held the illusion that some mainstream media, was fair. But after this campaign, I find it impossible to find “Fair Press”. All cable news in based on opinion, not the facts. So, after reading, the definition of “free Press” I have found that this right, refers to freedom of opinion.

So, the media can lie, accuse or call names to anyone they please. I for one, will be tuning in to FOX. The brutal attacks on the Clinton’s over the past year, has left a bad taste in this liberals month.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights states: “Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference, and impart information and ideas through any media regardless of frontiers”

The stitches that hold the democratic party together are very fragile. Over the years, they have been pulled and stretched, many times breaking. But as Democrats, we have mended and patched the party back together many times. Thus, making the end result even stronger than before.

We have come to another time in history, when the party seems to be falling apart. The mainstream media seems to think this will pass, and all Democrats will come together in the end. But how soon is the end? Will this happen before November or after? That is the critical question. We only have to look back into our past, to see what the future may hold. This picture of the past, shows the consequences of division.

There have been at least two times in our nations history when this division has had dire consequences. Below are the examples:

The 1860 Election:

In 1860 the Democrats were unable to stop the election of Republican Abraham Lincoln, even as they feared his election would lead to the Civil War. The party split in two, with the northern wing nominating Douglas and the southern wing nominating Vice President John C. Breckinridge. Douglas campaigned across the country and came in second in the popular vote, but carried only Missouri. Breckinridge carried 11 slave states.

During the Civil War, Northern Democrats divided into two factions, the War Democrats, who supported the military policies of President Lincoln, and the Copperheads, who strongly opposed them.

The 1968 Election:

The reason for Humphrey’s convention victory was that a majority of the convention delegates were unelected, and it was these unelected delegates who determined the outcome. The result was a Democratic Party split asunder. This split between anti-Vietnam War Democrats and pro-Vietnam War Humphrey Democrats helped elect the 1968 Republican presidential candidate, Richard Nixon.

So, there is a possibility that it could happen again. The result being the election of John McCain. But is that such a bad thing? Some would say so, I happen to think that McCain is the lesser of two evils. With that said, I have to ask, which is better, a McCain presidency and a deadlocked democratic congress, or a Obama presidency and a democratic congress.

The later would cause change in America, however would it really be good change? If Obama is the nominee and is able to push all his ideas through congress easily, what would be the effects?

I fear they would be disastrous, for America as a whole. You have to remember, we have only statements to go on, to make this decision. Obama, has a small amount of experience and lots of speeches. Both Barrak and Michelle’s patriotism have been questioned. And at this time, I don’t think anyone is really sure what the truth is.

We can only draw from the books Obama has written and the company he keeps. If you take those into consideration, there appears to be a black cloud over the Illinois Senator. The question is, is there a silver lining under the cloud? And that being said, is it worth it to take such a chance?

I understand you cannot predict what someone may or may not do, however, consider the consequences. Do we really want someone who may be a racist in the white house? Do we want a first lady, who is only proud of America when it suits her? And last of all, do we really want a president who will only look out for the needs of the rich or the blacks in the white house?

I honestly don’t think as Americans, we do. At the very least, if Hillary is not the nominee, then John McCain is the lesser of the two evils. The main reason I say this is that we know exactly what to expect from McCain. And also we must have a democratic congress. This will cause endless deadlock in Washington. I am sure that John McCain would not agree with such a arrangement. But at least, his powers would be limited and held in check. A Obama presidency and a Democratic Congress would be a free for all.

A Clinton nominee would be the perfect answer, with a Democratic Congress. Everyone knows where Hillary stands, and I do not doubt, she would do what is good for the country, as a whole. Not just certain portions of the population. Obama has used his race as a catalyst, to propel himself into a favorable position. This has a all to familiar ring to it, does it? Below is a example of a opinion, that does ring true.

Obama claim to the American presidency, an entitlement felt by black voters out of historic injury and conceded by many white voters out of social guilt. To some Hispanics, the Obama candidacy is perceived as the presidential version of Affirmative Action, and like any government entitled program there is always someone benefiting at the expense of another. Women, the working class, seniors, the less influent and the typical white all to be sacrificed for the appeasement of the African American voters. Forget about experience, his weakness, his associates and his almost no chance of winning the election. Put all that aside and vote for him because “you owe him something”. John Kerry replied why Sen Obama would make a good candidate ” Hes Black” thats why Hes a black man how SAD

I do agree, it is a sad reality that being black is used in this way. However, in many cases in rings incredibly true. This only causes more resentment between the races. And that is something we do not need, as a nation.

Once all this is said and done, I believe 4 years from now, we as a party will come together and become stronger. But until then, the stitches are still coming apart at the seams………….

Today’s women’s movement, is small in comparison to the ones of the past. However, it is just as important today as it was 160 years ago, when women’s rights began.

It would not be possible for Hillary to be running for president, if not for the brave women who have come before us. Today as women, we face a challenge as large as any seen before.

The presidential campaign has brought the problems we face, as women, to the forefront. The mainstream media, focused on race, and very little on gender discrimination. So sexism, has been swept under the rug by the media, until recently. Sure, the media has mentioned sexism, but does not seem to think he has much to do with the election.

I happen to think that gender discrimination, has been prevalent all throughout this election. The cable news “cheerleaders” have been so caught up in the “idea” of a black candidate and a women, they failed to see the obvious.

Many times durning this campaign cycle, many reporters have asked, “would whites vote for a black candidate?”. Thus being the case, I have to wonder how many times did you see the question, “would men vote for a women?”

To be perfectly honest, I don’t recall every hearing that question. And why was that question not asked? The only conclusion I can come to, is that no one really wants to hear the answer.

Most people would agree, that even though Hillary Clinton is clearly more qualified, that doesn’t seem to matter to alot of voters. They turn a blind eye to the racism, the inexperience, and the complete lies told by the Obama’s.

For some reason, none of that matters. That reason, I believe is due to the fact that Hillary is a women. Superdelagates defect by the day, long time Clinton supporters switch sides. Why? For the very same reason, sexism. In this country this is not uncommon.

It would be wise to look at this issue from a historical perspective. In order to understand, how we got were we are today. The modern women’s suffrage movement, began much later than the Abolitionist movement. In the 1830’s the outcries began to be heard in regards to blacks in America. However, it was not until 1848 that the women’s movement began. And this was not due to any human rights issues. It was due to the determined women of the era.

The movement started with Elizabeth Cady Stanton using the Declaration of Independence as the framework for writing what she titled a “Declaration of Sentiments.” In what proved to be a brilliant move, Stanton connected the nascent campaign for women’s rights directly to that powerful American symbol of liberty. The same familiar words framed their arguments: “We hold these truths to be self-evident; that all men and women are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

Notice, that the word women, is inserted into the writing. There was also 18 grievances that the women stated. They are as follows:

1. Married women were legally dead in the eyes of the law
2. Women were not allowed to vote
3. Women had to submit to laws when they had no voice in their formation
4. Married women had no property rights
5. Husbands had legal power over and responsibility for their wives to the extent that they could 6. imprison or beat them with impunity
7. Divorce and child custody laws favored men, giving no rights to women
8. Women had to pay property taxes although they had no representation in the levying of these taxes
9. Most occupations were closed to women and when women did work they were paid only a fraction of what men earned
10 Women were not allowed to enter professions such as medicine or law
11 Women had no means to gain an education since no college or university would accept women students
12 With only a few exceptions, women were not allowed to participate in the affairs of the church
13 Women were robbed of their self-confidence and self-respect, and were made totally dependent on men

Today, we have overcome many, but some still remain. The fact that Hillary Clinton is by far the better candidate, holds much weight. However, in the broad scope of things we, as women would expect that any women must work harder to prove her worth in order to achieve the same goals as a any man black or white.

A great injustice has been done to all American women, and Hillary Clinton herself. That is what should be remembered from this campaign season. Not who won or lost, but the fight for equality. I would encourage the DNC to do the right thing and count the votes in MI and Fl. This would at least show that the DNC cares about the voters.

Women voters make up a large majority of the DNC. What will happen when all those women, vote for McCain or do not show up?

I would encourage all women to make a stand, and in November, if Hillary is not the nominee, then make your mark by voting for McCain. Do this as a protest to the DNC and their unfair treatment of Hillary Clinton……..

Today, I decided to do what alot of Democrats have not done. Many are voting for Obama without even knowing him. So, today I read his book Dreams from my Father. I thought this might give me some insight into the mind of Obama. I have to say it held no big surprises, it was just what I expected. The book is filled with racist remarks, and tells the life of the Illinois’s Senator.

It clearly shows a young man, who really is not very sure of himself. I would encourage all to read it,to see the true man. Once I reached midway, I have to say I felt like it was very repetitive. It is clear Obama did try to help the people of Chicago. However, he was selective of the neighborhoods he helped. The Senator’s focus was on the black community, period.

Whites are only mentioned, if they helped his cause, or in a derogatory manner. The Rev. Wright is also mentioned, and how Obama came to become part of the congregation. After reading this book, I do understand why it took so long for Obama to denounce Rev. Wright. The remarks made by Wright, were something Obama had heard many times in his life. Never one time coming to the defence of anyone outside of his race.
The books shows a clear indication why Rev. Wright remarks did not seem to bother Obama, and explains how he could have stayed in the church for 20 years. The message Rev. Wright was teaching, was common in Obama’s life. Alot of his college friends shared those very same views. Upon reading the book, I concluded that Obama was ashamed of his white heritage. His grandfather in Kenya, and even bigger racist.

Much time is spent on his visit to Africa, where he seems to feel more comfortable than in the U.S. There is no evidence that his family was ever “poor”. As he has indicated, he was sent to all the best prep-schools and enjoyed every benefit of the American dream.

It was not until College that Obama even began to understand the poor. Then I am not sure if he understands them, or just wants the glory of helping them.

This book offers a glimpse of the life of the Senator. There appears to be nothing that would qualify him to be the leader of the free world. It shows no accomplishments that would make a person believe, that he was destined to be a world leader.

In other words, the entire books is about the racism blacks have against whites, and his trip to Africa. I have included a link to read the book, and I encourage everyone to do so.

Below are some examples, from the test. Once you read the book it is clear, this is not a amn who needs to be in charge of the free world.
You may be the judge of the words……….

As a result, some people have a hard time taking me at face value. When people don’t know me well, black or white, discover my background(and usually it is a discovery, for I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of twelve or thirteen.

To be black was to be the beneficiary of a great inheritance, a special destiny, glorious burdens that only we were strong enough to bear.

Our rage at the white world needed no object,no independent confirmation, it could be switched on and off at our pleasure.

There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, running in packs.

Pretty words don’t make it so. So why do I pretend otherwise?. I’ll tell you why. Because I like the applause,. It gives me a nice, cheap thrill.

Then Barracks father, your grandfather Hussein-wrote gramps this long nasty letter saying he did not approve of the marriage. He didn’t want the Obama blook sullied by a white women, he said.

A study attack on the white race, the constant recitation of black people’s brutal experience in this country, served as the ballast that could prevent the ideas of personal in this country, of personal and communal responsibility from tipping into an ocean of despair. Yes, the nationalist would say whites are responsible for your sorry state, not any inherent flaws in you. In fact, whites are so heartless and devious that we can no longer expect anything from the, The self-loathing you feel, what keeps you drinking or thieving, is planted by them, Rid them of you mind and find your true power liberated. Rise up, ye mighty race!

Dreams from my father. Barrak Obama.

Today it is being reported from http://noquarterusa.net/blog/ that there are new video tapes of Michelle Obama. These tapes clearly show Michelle speaking to a crows at Rev. Wright’s church in Chicago.

The remarks made by Mrs. Obama are said to be very racist against white Americans. The tape is also said to rally black against whites. The Republicans are said to be holding the tape, and drop it as a October surprise on Obama.

I cannot verify the truthfulness of the tape, as I have not seen it yet my self. But if in fact this does exist, this could be the end of the Obama campaign. I implore whoever has the tape to release it to the public. Americans need to know the truth.

Not Ready to Make Nice?

All across the airwaves and blogs, one theme is surfacing with a vengeance. There appears to be a war, between Obama and Clinton supporters. The majority of these voters are women, who refuse to vote for Obama. The mainstream media and some long time democrats, do not take their threats to “stay home or vote for McCain” seriously.
All across the nation small groups are forming. Groups dedicated to help NOT elect Barak Obama. Voters all across the nation are angry at the lack of help from the democratic party itself. It seems the term “sexism” doesn’t matter as much as “racism”. The media has helped create the first “black” candidate, all the while turning a blind eye to “sexism”.
Most of the “democrats” in the mainstream news, do not take the voters threats seriously. It has been said, more than once, that once we have a nominee, they will all vote for Obama. I beg to differ, there are many women, and more will surface, who will not vote for Obama.
I for one, will not under any circumstances vote for Obama. And I am sure there are millions just like me. There has been a clear, shift of super delagates and politicians that have shifted to Obama. I am sure it is their hope, that women voters will all fall in line. But many voters, see this as a betrayal to the Clinton’s.
Some members of the democratic party have made statements, regarding these women voters as traitors to their own party. Let me be clear, none of these voters are traitors, they have betrayed no one. However, many politicians and super delagates have betrayed their own party. They have done this by falling in line behind a candidate, who is clearly not ready for the job.
I know that there are many voters who are “not ready to make nice”, my estimate would be millions. Once this group comes together it will be a formidable force, against Obama. It is time that the democratic party and the mainstream media paid attention. These are not just idle threats from angry women voters. They will carry out the threats, and this time next year we all be referring to “President McCain”.
The Democratic party itself is at the heart of the problem. They are clearing encouraging a candidate, that is not electable in a general election. Many democrats have supported Obama, knowing the problems his candiancy entails. What they fail to realize is that, the Republicans and the swift boats will butcher Obama in any general election. If the votes of women, go to McCain or they simply stay home, Obama will lose.
And this, is the goal of the women voters who have been so unjusted called traitors. They will not support Obama as the nominee. The democtraic party needs to adress this problem. Up until now, the party itself has beleived the problem would just go away. And that the voters would simply vote for Obama, once he is the nominee. But, this is not the case, we are not just angry women, who will change our minds. We are smart educated voters, who have done reasearch on Barak Obama. Baised on what has been found, many of these voters feel he would be bad for the country as a whole.
So what could Obama or the party say to change our minds? The answer is “nothing”. If we do not like Obama now, what makes anyone think we will in the future?
His slick speeches, and promises of hope will not convince alot of voters. And those votes count to. Or at least they should. This is my call to the democtraic party, women voters will not stand for sexism any longer! Our time has come to be treated fairely and justly.
So, my question to you is, “Are You Ready to Make Nice”?

Up until a few months ago, I would never have believed that a president of the United States could be made, or created,so to speak. The illusion of who Barak Obama is, and has been, was entirely created. Created out of the minds of our Media, and by speeches with no substance.

This illusion of a “black savior” , was created and molded into some short of “savior” for the United States. The idea that one man, black or white could bring about such change is unbelievable. News commentators all across the airwaves, have outwardly endorsed this candidate. They have done this, to such an extent, that they may as well put on cheerleaders outfits and wave pom-poms.

In the early days of the campaign, it became apparent just how biased they were. Even highly regarded news agencies, like msn, msnbc and cnn jumped on the band wagon. The strangest of all is that fox, seemed to be the kindest to the Clinton campaign, and the most outspoken about Obama. Needless to say fox news has over the years, been highly criticized for its anti-democratic views.

So, my question is, can the media really create a president. The answer is simple, “yes they can”.

But, lets look at how it happened. There is no easy explanation for such a act by the media. It all began months ago, when Obama dramatically announced his candidacy. His speech, made from the very same steps were Abraham Lincoln once stood. This was a made for television moment. The theatrics of it demanded, and enticed every newscaster across the nation. Lets face it, all newspaper men are alike, dying for the next big story. Obama gave it to them that day.

In the beginning, he was a fresh new candidate, and it was very easy for alot of people to get caught up in the frenzy. His inspiring speeches and words of hope were encouraging to many. The camera loved him, and so did the newscasters. The “idea” of a first black president made the story even more inticing.

And so began the love affair between the media and Barak Obama. This has been referred to as a “historic” campaign. The most historic part of it all, is the media has attempted to create a president. But to their misfortune, the road has not been as smooth as they anticipated.

Many critics of the mainstream media, began to point out that Obama was getting a free pass. Not asked tough questions, by mainstream media. After watching just a few minutes of msbc, it was plain. The critics were right, Obama was handled as if he were a national treasure, a savior for our nation. The big question I asked myself is “Why?” It appeared to me, that in fear of being called a racist, the newscasters choose their words very carefully.

It did not take long for alot of voters to see through the illusion that is Barak Obama. Under criticism, the mainstream media had to begin to take a closer look at him. Thus, exposing many faults and weakness, never before discovered. Some of the weakness were quite troubling to alot of Americans. But was it a little to late? I happen to think so, by the time the media began to get tough on Obama, many had already made up their mind. Many states had already voted. Now the media, had a big problem, it appeared as though they were caught in the middle of this mess.

It is my thought that the media got caught up int he rhetoric, and the excitement of the moment. Like cheerleaders for a team playing in the superbowl, they were swept away. Once their excitement wore off, they knew they had problems. Many viewers expressed concern to the major networks, which I am sure fell to deaf ears. But the strangest thing of all, is that now, democrats are watching fox news!

The cheerleaders go on, day by day still trying to make their case. Clinging to the last hope that the “national treasure ” will save America. More and more politicians and Super Delegates endorse Obama by the day. Hoping for a job, in his administration. Or some cable tv time, maybe a little exposure.

Betraying the Clinton’s means nothing, when you think you get achieve personal gain. Long time friends of the Clinton’s have turned their back on the Former President and the First Lady. Ted Kennedy, Bill Richardson,George McGovern and John Edwards have been a big disappoint to the Clinton supporters. As I see it, they also have let down the entire party. Selling their very souls, to achieve personal goals.

Many have voiced strong opinions, against Hillary finishing the race. Some others have indicated that she would not even be a good VP. It seems personal attaches appear to be fine, as long as they are not meant for Obama. Hillary supporters are called “whiners” if any protest is made about how the Clinton’s are treated. Anyone who dares not vote for Obama, let alone criticize him, is now labeled a racist by the media.

I do have to say, that the Clinton’s have shown courage above and beyond the call of duty. How hard it must be to face the media every morning, never knowing what will happen. This has been happening for years, and I am sure it takes a very strong person, to face that everyday.

So, it seems the media is out to decide who our next president may be. They have dug themselves so far into this mess, it is impossible to see daylight. The media has not followed up on bad press for Obama (unless they have no choice). In turn, making him look like the messiah they believe him to be. So, if that be the case, if indeed that does happen, my intention is to place the majority of blame where it belongs, on the media.

But the sad reality of all this is, if Obama gets the nomination, then what? He will be a nominee that was encouraged and uplifted by the media. A nominee, that may not be the best for the country as a whole. And the worst case scenario, as a media made President.

Timepassages

Today, as we await the results in West Virginia, many still have concerns about race. It has been said, that West Virgina is 95 % white. In the beginning of Obama’s campaign, I do not think that made alot of difference. However, today things are much different than they were a few months ago.

Michelle Obama’s statement, that she only discovered her “blackness” in college, clearly shows that the Obama’s identify with the black community. This is clear in the choice of a church, and her thesis she wrote in College. In her thesis, Michelle Obama concludes that, people stay in their comfort zone. In order to stay in a church for 20 years, this must have been the Obama’s comfort zone.

In return for this comfort zone, as Michelle calls it in her college thesis, America is segregated. But not by law, by choice. It makes things easier that way, white and blacks do not live together peaceful in the ghettos of Detroit. Many whites are just like Obama’s grandmother, they fear black men. And many blacks feel that America owes them more than what they currently have. So the race problem still exists, but on a much different scale than it did 50 years ago.

The Obama’s have tried to walk a very thin line, on one side the real black part of there life. On the other, a make believe “whiter” lifestyle. In order to achieve their goal, they needed the white voters. But in States like West Virginia, Penn. and Ohio, that did not happen. So, they did make a very good attempt to appeal to the white voters, there was only one problem, Rev. Wright.

So does that mean that the voters in those states are racist? I do not believe that they are. It only shows me that those blue collar, undereducated voters are not as dumb as Obama thinks. The did not vote for Obama because of his race, it is more because they simply don’t believe him.

Let’s face it, if Hillary attended a racist church for 20 years. Would anyone believe she was not a racist? Of course not, but there is a clear double standard when it comes to “white and black ” America. Hillary was criticized because she said that “white voters will vote for me”. This was a racist remark. But when anyone says that “black people vote for Obama” it is not considered racist. It is just considered a fact. Racism against whites does exist, only it is generally accepted and not highly publicized. Until Rev. Wright’s comments became public most people outside of the U.S. had no idea that blacks could also be racist.

Today, in America it is perfectly acceptable for sexism, to run rapid. But any comment, no matter how innocent is considered racist. Do not get me wrong I am not saying racism does not exist. It does, but sexism against women is a accepted fact in our society. Racism, is not. This is the double standard we live with.

So, why is there a double standard. The reasons are many, for a long time blacks in America were not treated very well. But history shows us that many other ethnic groups were also treated very badly. The main difference is culture, almost all other ethnic groups in the United States, blended into mainstream American culture.

Women, on the other hand, were accepted As long as they “knew there place” The right to vote, to hold public office and to obtain jobs, came much later in history for women than men, black or white. Women can be referred to as “hos”, and that is totally accepted in our society. But derogatory remarks toward any other group is not tolerated.

So, then we must ask ourselves, would a man be elected to office before a women? No matter what color the man’s skin is? The answer is yes, there are many that would not vote for a qualified candidate, depending on the gender. That is in fact, the painful truth of our society.

Other ethnic groups such as the Irish, Scottish, and Catholic have had a hard time adjusting. But white Americans, feel no guilt when it comes to past crimes against any other group. However, many white Americans feel that they have a obligation to treat black Americans better. And some black Americans, expect it.

So, we have become a society afraid to speak freely for fear of offending someone. On the other hand, abuse against women and ethnic groups can and will continue. This is a battle all women will continue to encounter for the rest of lives. There comes a time when as Americans, each and every one of us needs to look past gender, and race, and vote for the Best candidate. I believe this is what will happen in West Virgina today. I can only hope the superdelagates will see the same thing……

Let’s pretend that we all live in a fairy tale world, where everything is wonderful..Were there is no racism, or sexism. Where the color of ones skin, did not matter. This would be a world, were everyone got along and loved one another. A world of hopes and dreams, that never stopped coming true.

What a wonderful place that would be. This is the world Obama would like everyone to have. At least that is what he says. But is it true? This sounds more like a Sunday Sermon, than a political thyme. The truth of the matter is, some people will say whatever it takes to accomplish their goal. Most of the time this goal, is a personal one. Meant to accomplish, there own personal agenda.

Through the ages, people have been fooled by promises never kept. This is a story as old as time itself. Since the time of the Pharaohs of Egypt, people have always wanted and hoped for a better life.

But what is hope really?

Definition:

want or expect something: to have a wish to get or do something or for something to happen or be true, especially something that seems possible or likely to happen.

So, we can conclude, that hope is wishing. But is wishing enough to gamble a nation on? That would be the question I would ask of every American. Wishing certainly did not make us what we are today.

Throughout this election season, we have been offered hope. But is it really possible? Can we get past everything that has happened? As a country, we all would hope we would. Or are some of us, just grabbing anything that might help us in some way. The truth of the matter is, we all want a “perfect world”, but that is very unlikely.

Empty promises will not make us a stronger country. They will not feed our children and end the war. A better world cannot be made by one person, it takes a entire nation. Many promises have been made by Obama, but step back and take a deep breath and ask yourself, “Would he help me and my country , or himself ?” The sad reality is that most people are only out for themselves, and I see no reason to believe otherwise from the Senator from Illinois.

Nothing in life is easy, and those things that are worth fighting for, are always the hardest. Our greatest triumphs, come about only by very hard work. No one is a savior or messiah to our country. So, beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing. For they can do the most damage to us, as a nation.

My greatest fear is that many will be deceived, and fall into this trap. Only to awaken in a few years, very very sorry. But by then, the damage will be done, and we will all pay the price.

Followers of Obama, seem to think he can walk on water. I for one do not. A few weeks ago, when our caucus was taking place, our city was visited by both presidential democratic candidates.

The lines to see Hillary were long, and it was cold and snowy. The people waited hours to see her. But the Obama supporters, did not have to stand in any lines.

Why? The reason was simple, Obama ran a add in our local paper announcing his arrival. Like Jesus riding his donkey into Jerusalem, only with one catch. In order to have the privilege of seeing him, you simply bought a ticket.

That’s right, for a small price of a concert ticket, you could get to see the “messiah”. Needless to say, alot of people were offended, that he had the arrogance to charge admission.

This explains the large amount of money his campaign is bringing in. This also explains why he speaks to very large crowds. More people, more ticket sales.

I find this completely unethical, and refused to buy a ticket to see him. This has not been talked about on any news media, that I have seen. The question I ask is why? Why has this been completely ignored? Obama is not a “rock star” or Messiah as some think. He is just a man, so why does he think he should sell tickets to see him?

Even our current president, does not charge admission when he speaks. And I am sure Jesus himself didn’t charge admission. But if you want good entertainment then by all means, buy a ticket to a Obama show. But remember that’s what your buying a “ticket to a show”. Its entertainment, that he offers, no different than waiting “madam butterfly“.

The plan to defeat Hillary Clinton. It is very clear, that Karl Rove and his party are making every effert to defeat Hillary Clinton. Here is a copy of a email that was sent to repulicans.

E-mail to send to all your Republican friends
Sat, 02/16/2008 – 10:41pm — afnighthawk
(This post was neither authored nor approved by the leadership of Republicans for Obama. It is simply a posting in a public forum.)
Attention All Texas Republicans and Independents!!
On March 4th, Texas Republicans and Independents will have an opportunity to end Hillary Clinton’s (and Bill’s) presidential ambitions once and for all!
Since Texas has on open primary, Republicans and Independents should sign in at their polling place and request a Democratic ballot. They should then vote for Barack Obama. Even James Carville admits that if Hillary loses Texas, “she’s done!” Republicans can help make this a reality!!! Just think, no more Clintons in the White House!
Voting Democratic this one time will have NO effect on your ability to vote in the next Republican primary or obviously on your vote in November. Since John McCain has the Republican nomination locked up, voting for McCain or Huckabee at this point will have no effect on the outcome on the Republican side.
After you vote during early voting or on March 4th, you ARE NOT done! Report back to your regular polling place at 7PM on March 4th to sign the Barack Obama list for caucus delegates. In a little known Texas voting quirk, 67 delegates to the Democratic convention will be seated because of these caucuses. This is a full one-third of the total number of Texas delegates. For Hillary to lose, she has to lose the primary votes AND the caucus votes. I urge you to vote against Hillary Clinton by voting for Barack Obama.
Please forward this e-mail to all your Republican and Independent friends so that we can help ensure the Clinton’s defeat on March 4th!!!

This has to be the most dishonest thing I have ever read. Every American should be upset about this. It appears the Republican party wants to run against Obama. They are afraid of the Clinton’s so once again they are out to destory them.

Here is a small part of the article:

The tactic, called crossover voting, allowed Obama to capture the delegates in nearly all the red state caucuses, while trimming Clinton’s delegate haul in the blue state primaries enough to keep her trailing. Republicans for Obama, for one, was not bashful in making its case in an email appeal linked to its home page before the March 4th contests. “Since Texas has an open primary,” the appeal read, “Republicans and Independents should sign in at their polling place and request a Democratic ballot. They should then vote for Barack Obama… Just think, no more Clintons in the White House!”

And the G.O.P. links to the Obama campaign don’t end there. The Times of London reported on March 2nd that Obama is interviewing conservative Republican lawmakers like Senators Chuck Hagel and Richard Lugar for key positions in his cabinet, if he’s elected in November. “Senior advisers confirmed that Hagel, a highly decorated Vietnam war veteran and one of McCain’s closest friends in the Senate, was considered an ideal candidate for defence secretary.” the story revealed. “Some regard the outspoken Republican as a possible vice-presidential nominee although that might be regarded as a ‘stretch’.” Lugar is being evaluated as a potential secretary of state.

This has to be on of the dirtiest tricks ever seen in American Politics……

Racism in America, is a problem the entire world knows about. Just ask anyone from Europe, what Americans like? Most likely, the answer you will get would be we are racist. But until recently, racism amongst blacks did not surface worldwide. Few People outside of the States understands that racism works both ways.
To deny this is true, would be a injustice to the American people. The headlines in our newspapers usually state racism committed against blacks. However, the deep truth behind racism is that it is runs both ways, and is very deep.
Anyone hearing Rev. Wright’s remarks would be appalled, but possibly not surprised. I was not, I understand how things work in America. I do know, not all blacks are racist, just like not all white’s are. But there are groups that teach their children, from a very young age, to hate.
When I first heard the story of Rev. Wright, I reminded me of something that I experienced several years ago. And this story also convinced me that Obama

will be forever tied to Rev. Wright, by his own choice.

During the 1990’s my husband and I were musicians, and at the time in our lives, we wanted to seek out others with similar interests. We played in a small local band, and needed a good piano player. A mutual friend suggested someone.

A few days later, we got a call from a young man. He had been given our phone number from the friend. The young man offered to pick us up and drive us to his home. The young man wanted to play for us, and see if he was suited to our band. My husband and I thought nothing of it, and gladly accepted his invitation.

The young man showed up a few hours later, dressed in tan pants and a clean crisp white dress shirt. His hair was short and fair, he wore it in a military style cut. A very nice looking good old American boy. Or so we thought. We drove into what I refer to as a compound, that was the appearance of the home. It was large, and at one time had been a boy scout camp. The young man explained the history of the home, as we pulled into the drive.

I was beginning to feel very uneasy as we stepped out of the car. Glancing at my husband I was hoping he felt it to. But, to my surprise, he stepped out smiling and looking as though nothing was wrong.

Once we entered into the compound, I knew it was strange, but wasn’t really sure why. There were about 4 or 5 other men standing just inside the doorway. Extending there hands they all shook hands with us. These men all looked respectable enough, and all smiled widely as they introduced themselves.

I still couldn’t help wondering why these men all lived together in an old boy scout compound. One young man lead my husband to the large piano, and they sat down. Another young man stepped forward and offered to show me around. I accepted and followed him around the building. It did not take long for me to figure out just what was going on.

I was lead into a large kitchen, by large I mean like a kitchen in a school. Form there I was shown several rooms, that were apparently bedrooms. All had at least 5 to 6 sets of bunkbeds. In one of the rooms, the young man turned to me and said, “you know you should consider coming here and staying with us”. “You and your husband”. I must have had a very strange look on my face, because the man continued. ” You know you should be proud of your heritage, and your white skin”.

It was then that I knew, these men where white supremacist. Needless to say, we left right away. I made some excuse that I was feeling well, and wanted to go home. So, my point is that if Obama did not agree with Rev. Wright he would have left, not stayed 20 years.

If something offends you, you leave. Anyone does, just as I did all those years ago. You do not stay for 20 years, then pretend you did not know it. Mr. Obama, your chickens have come home to roost…….

Yesterday was a most historic day for Democrat’s. It seems the “messiah” has already deemed himself the Winner of the Democratic nomination. It appears that even though the race is not finished, most think it is. Including Obama himself.

Time Magazine even got into the idea, and featured him on the cover. Smiling ear to ear, like the cat that just ate the mouse. In a interview with Wolff Blizter of CNN, Obama seemed confident that Hillary’s supporters will follow him. I am not sure that is really the case.

I watched the news media follow Obama around yesterday, as if he were already the president. Why is so many people so blinded by this man? I have to ask myself daily. I can see through the broad smile, and fancy empty suit. Why Can’t everyone else?
The truth may be stranger than fiction, they don’t want to. Alot of Americans have supported Obama based on “Hope”. But hope is much like faith, and I am not sure that any ones faith should hang on someone like Obama. At this point I am sure it will do no good to try to convince anyone who supports him, that they are wrong. Obama supporters have turned a blind eye and a deaf ear, to anything negative.
My vote, if Obama is the nominee, will go to John McCain. As will lots of others like me. The media has been, until recently very soft on Obama. Not wanting to say anything that may be perceived as racial. Even though, everything anyone says that does not benefit Obama, is seen as racial.
The “Obama Messiah” idea is a direct result of our media. They have glorified him like a god. Some stations should have put on cheerleader outfits, and held their pom-poms high.. The media has helped to fuel this “machine”. They have declared Obama the winner, and counted Hillary as “toast”. I find this kind of journalism disgusting.
Everyone seems so caught up in the color of his skin, that they do not see the man. So race has affected this race, and the media fueled the fire….. Hopefully its a fire that can be put out…. For all of Americans sake.

This blog is meant to inform others about guns in American. This blog is meant to be informative, and not judgemental. Most people around the world do not understand how guns fit into American society. So this blog is meant to educate, and clear up rumours about violence in the United States.

Let me begin by saying this blog is meant for those who still think America is the Wild West. Let me be the first to inform the citizens of the world, that is simply not true. Guns in America have a long history, and by that I do not mean “Cowboys”. We are not “all” cowboys, I find that offensive.

Let start from the beginning, the right to have guns, is written in our Constitution. The constitution was written in 1776, durning a time of war with England. At that time it was necessary to carry and use guns, our homes were invaded by English soldiers. We needed to be able to defend ourselves. Our founding fathers thought that everyone should have the right to defend themselves. And I must say, I agree. You have to remember, this was a much different time that they lived in.

Honestly, Americans did not attack England, they simply said we do not want to be part of Britain anymore. In turn, England sailed across the Atlantic, and tried to force us to remain loyal to the king. They invaded our homes, and bottled up our harbors so nothing could get in or out. Needless to say, Americans thought they had the right to defend ourselves. And if you were in their shoes, you would to.

Lets jump ahead a few years, in 1812 the British tried again to get Americans to conform and stay “British”. This time is also failed. So in the first 36 years of our very young nation, twice we were invaded. That would make most people just a little afraid it could happen again. And they had every right to worry, because it did happen again and again.

Our American Civil War started in 1861 and ended in 1865. This was another war fought for freedom. Much like the ones we had fought before. Only this time the southern states did not want to be part of the United States any longer. Like we had done in 1776 against England, the southern states wanted to be a new country. They called themselves the “Confederate States of America”.

Needless to say the United States did not want to loose the south. There was many reasons for this, and they were mostly economical. So the North moved south and the war began. Northern soldiers invaded southern homes and took anything they wanted. So here again we needed to defend ourselves, and our homes. Don’t’ get me wrong, I am sure southern soldiers also invaded northern homes. Regardless, the need to defend ourselves was once again a priority for all Americans, north and south.

Anyone who knows about WWII knows about Pearl Harbor, and I do not think I need to go into that. We were again attacked, and some of our shores on the pacific attached. Did we have the right to defend ourselves? Of course we did, who would not do the same thing?

Then finally Sept. 11, 2001. That is a day I will never forget as long as I live. Do we have the right to defend ourselves, of course we do and we should. You see you can add things to our Constitution, but do not take them away…….

Do not get me wrong, I am not saying that its ok, to shot each other in the streets. I am saying we should have the right to defend ourselves, if need be. The world perceives Americans as gun slinging cowboys who just shoot each other. And that is the furthest thing from the real truth. John Wayne does not ride down the streets with his 6 shooters……

The reality of it is, guns are legal here and there are many reasons why. But the violence here is widely televised, we also have freedom of the press. There are 330 million people in the U.S. , so the violence shown in our news is covering 330 million people. That’s alot of people, so on television it really looks alot worse than it is.

The majority of Americans do not even own guns, but some do. It’s there choice, and choice and freedom for our people is what our country has fought for since 1776. Many Americans died so we could have the freedoms we have, and to judge for that is unfair.

School shooting are the sadist of all, it is so unfortunate that these things happen. But they do not happen because we can legally have guns. They happen because parents are not responsible, and children get access to them. What is so different about that? There are irresponsible parents are all over the world. Remember, the little British girl “mattie”, her parents left her alone in a hotel and went to supper. They returned and she was gone, they were irresponsible parents.

So, Irresponsibility comes in many different forms and they all are not just about guns. Parents need to be more responcable for their children and their firearms. The guns should be locked up, out of reach of there children.

The United States has a long and rich history, based on freedom. And I do not think for one minute any of it should be taken away. However, violence in the schools cannot be tolerated. Our right to bear arms was meant to help Americans defend themselves, and there’s nothing wrong with that. It was not meant for children to take to school and shoot their classmates.

Parents need to be held accountable for the actions of their children. This is exspecailly true when guns are involved. I am sure there are other ways children get guns, but for the most part its from a family member. They take them without anyone knowing, so isn’t it time the parents started paying more attention? I think so, I really do.

So, hopefully everyone has learned that Americans are not all “Cowboys”, I for one have never worn a cowboy hat. Also, We do not ride our horses down main street, (I can’t ride one ) and we do not just shoot each other for fun.

Most of the rumors around the world about America, is simply not true. We are no different from anyone else. We are not all rich, some work two or even three jobs to make ends meet. Others have guns and use them to hunt, as a sport. Others have guns for protection, just in case they need it. If you are thinking “why would they need protection?” I refer you back to our history, how many times have our homes and shores been invaded?

In a Nation with 330 million people, it is impossible to think that everyone will simply obey the law. So there are cases of violence, and it is inevitable in any society. Regardless, if we can buy guns or not. This blog was inspired by my husband. He is Canadian, and like most Canadians thought the reason we have violence is because Americans can buy guns. This is not the case, America has violence because of people, not guns……………..

It seems that some have found a new “messiah”. His name is Obama. Every word that comes out of his mouth, is revered and clung to like a valuable stone. He gives hope to millions, and delivers nothing. Please forgive my sarcasm, as I am completely puzzled as to why so many can be so fooled.

It is plain, that he is a very smooth talker. He could charm most people, make them believe in things thought impossible. Why? because we all want to hope, and believe in something. The democrat’s have been looking for a savior for the past 8 years. Well, he has arrived.

Sound totally unbelievable? Of course it does, to anyone who has not fallen into his charms. Supporters of Obama turn a deaf ear to anything anti-Obama. They do not care to hear anything that may be reflected as “bad”.

The truth of the matter is, he is not what his supporters believe he is. No one man will step in and save the country. That is a fantasy, that cannot be. It takes much more than one person to do that. So even though he gives really great speeches, that’s all they are, speeches. Some may say, that supporters of Hillary, do the same. But there is one major difference. Hillary has a past, one we know alot about. We can see her record of what she has stood for.

But with Obama, what do we see? That he rarely ever voted on anything in the Senate. He either did not show up or, choose not to vote. How can anyone know what to expect, if there’s nothing to go on? Most supporters do not seem to care about it. They are all in “awe” of the new messiah. But at what price will this country pay? I very large one is my greatest fear.

So many are fooled by False “Messiah’s” . This has been happening since the beginning of time. I see no reason why it should stop now. But the stakes are much higher this time, as he could be the leader of the free world. God Help us all…………….

First of all, let me begin by saying I have been a lifelong Democrat. Never once have I voted for anyone without a “D” beside their name. But this years election is very different from any that have come before. It is a historic election, in so many ways. As a young child, my parents always said that I could do anything I wanted. And now, with a women and a black man running for president. Those words have finally rang true.

However, with change comes conflict. And there could not be much more conflict than we have seen within the party itself. It seems that we, as a party are doing it to ourselves. Caught up in the moment, some have seemed elated by the charismatic Obama. But it appears that’s all it is , charisma. A sheep in wolves clothing so to speak. This was never more apparent than after hearing Rev. Wright’s speeches. It is my belief that no one can sit in a chair and listen to such racism and not either agree or be affected by it in some way.

Many supporters have turned a blind eye to the clear contradiction’s of Obama’s speeches. After the scandal began, Obama stated, “I could no more disown my white grandmother, than my paster”. But then later, when it was clearly politically correct, he did denounce him.

Many Dem’s have threatened to either not show up or vote for McCain. The news media does not take this threat seriously, and say they are angry and will calm down and come together once we have a nominee. I think they are gravely mistaken. This contest has been very personal for alot of voters, and they are angry. But it is not out of anger that they say this, its because they truly believe this country is on the wrong track. Heading on a collision course so to speak.

The dem’s have waiting a long time to fill the white house. But now, it seems they have almost handed the white house to John McCain. They bad part is they don’t seem to know this, most white’s will not vote for Obama in a general election. Is this based on race? I do not think so. At least not for white voters, it is clear 90% of the votes for Obama are coming from black Americans. But, he also has white supporters. Most of the conflict has come about due to Obama himself, or the company he keeps.

You cannot win the white house without states like Ohio, Pa, or Texas. Could all this lead to a split in the party? In my opinion, it could. How good it would be for the country, I am not sure. But even if this happens it will still split the vote, and land McCain in the white house. So we have now set ourselves up for a lose- lose situation.
