America’s tragic history requires action; those words were spoken by Obama today.  Never has a statement been more true.  It is a rare occasion that anything Obama says, I agree with.  However, I must point out, that my perception of the meaning of those words are quite different than the Senators.

I am sure from the point of view of Obama; he is referring to African Americans.  I base this belief on his time in Rev. Wright’s church.  I am aware, that some out there will begin, screaming racism.  However, that is not the case.  The influence of Black churches on the patriots cannot be ignored.  The paragraph below are taken directly from the churches website.

The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:

1.      A congregation committed to ADORATION.

2.      A congregation preaching SALVATION.

3.      A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.

4.      A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.

5.      A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.

6.      A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.

7.      A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.

8.      A congregation committed to LIBERATION.

9.      A congregation committed to RESTORATION.

10.  A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY.

Barrack Obama’s former pastor not only spews anti-American rhetoric from the pulpit but favors shaking down U.S. taxpayers for “reparations” for slavery. The Reverend Dr. Jeremiah Wright was the keynote speaker at the 2007 annual conference of N’COBRA, which stands for the National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America.

Wright’s talk, “A Call for Justice and Repair,” followed a statement in which he declared that “The Biblical principle of true repentance is that the offended party is given compensation to make up for that which has been stolen from them, the losses that have been inflicted upon them and their families.”

A reparations plan for blacks could extract several trillion dollars from American taxpayers’ pockets.

By now we have all heard Rev. Wright’s sermons, and although Obama has thrown him under the bus, there are some things that should be pointed out.  The statement that America’s tragic history requires action has a meaning.  If you tie the statement into Black Theology, you begin to understand exactly who will benefit from this action.

I do not dispute that African Americans were treated badly.  However, many other ethnic groups have also been treated badly.  Over the course of the history of this nation, the Catholics, the Irish, the Mexican and many other groups have been treated poorly.  But, Obama’s statement is clearly one much closer to his own heart.  This provides us a glimpse of the kind of man he truly is.

Native American’s know firsthand just how bad things were and still are.  Our people have been murdered, our children taken, and many of our people displaced.  We were driven off our land, and marched thousands of miles to worthless land.  The key question is, will Obama help all people that were wronged?  I have my doubts, based on his past experience.

In his book, Faith of my fathers, it is clear where his loyalties lay.   One only has to read it, to understand that he is more align with the African American Community than the rest of America.  So, that leaves out much of the country.  His clear pandering of the vote, from Native Americans and the leaders shows us that he says one thing and does another.  For anyone who has a doubt, read his book and Michelle’s Thesis.  You can find the links to those on the right side of this screen.

The false perception, that the media and Obama himself portrayed are merely an illusion.  The Obama camp, have stated during the primary, they would meet with Tribal Leaders.  As of this date, no commitment has come from the Obama camp, for any such meeting.  They also agreed during the primary, to meet with troops in Texas, and again, no commitment has been made by the Obama camp.

I encourage all to read and learn as much as you can, before you vote.  This election could change the course of this country and all peoples.  But please ask yourself, is this the right kind of change?

Native Americans Against Obama- A Tribute To Our Troops.

This video was made some time ago; it’s been more than a year since I posted it.  I have to say, I am against the War in Iraq, however, we are there, and now the problem is how to get out safely.   I support all of our troops, past and present, to this very day.

Senator Obamas clear miss concern for our Service Members has never been clearer than it has these past few weeks.  The canceling of visits to wounded soldiers in Europe was totally unacceptable behavior of any U.S. Senator.  There have been many reports that he had no interest in our soldiers and veterans.   I find this to be true, he has been absent on a bill to aid Native American Veterans.  Not to mention the fact, he was more interested in speaking to large crowds in Germany, than talking to the wounded.

There has been a number of excuses form the Obama camp, stating why he canceled the visit.  At this point, does it really matter why?  The sad truth is, clearly the wounded are not one of his top priorities.  So, we have to ask, is this the kind of man we want to defend our country?

I may not agree with everything John McCain has done, but I will not dismiss his service to this country.  It is clear that he loves and cares about the wounded, the same cannot be said of Obama.

It is my hope that all Americans look closely at the choice we all have in November.  This choice will affect all of us, all tribes and nations.   It will also affect all the men ad women, who are fighting for this country around the world.  Is it fair for us to choose someone who does not care about them?

Native Americans Against Obama

Just Another Empty Seat….

Much like the empty suit Obama is, his chair is empty almost as much as it is filled.  It is a fact, that he has missed 45% of the votes, in short time in the Senate.  The video has covered the many Native American bills, he has missed.  Not to mention the countless others.

Today, his chair was empty once again; here is what he missed just today..

It was called the Advancing America’s Priorities Act.

·                            The Emmitt Till Unsolved Crimes bill: Would help heal old wounds and solve crimes that have continued to be unsolved and unpunished since the Civil Rights era.

·                            The Runaway and Homeless Youth bill: Would provide grants for health care, education and workforce programs, and housing programs for runaways and homeless youth.

·                            The Combating Child Exploitation bill: Would provide grants to train law enforcement to use technology to track individuals who trade child pornography. Establishes an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force within the Office of Justice Programs.

·                            The ALS Registry bill: Would create a centralized database to help doctors and scientists treat and hopefully find a cure for ALS/Lou Gehrig’s disease, which afflicts 5,600 Americans every year.

·                            The Christopher and Dana Reeve Paralysis Act: Would enhance cooperation in research, rehabilitation and quality of life for people who suffer from paralysis. Not only will this bill accelerate the discovery of better treatments and cures, but help improve the daily lives of the two million Americans who await a cure.

But the good news is, that he did show up to introduce the Global Poverty Act, some time ago.  This bill passed and sent 48 Billion dollars overseas. Thanks to two other members of Congress, two billion went to Native Americans.  He also found time to speak to thousands overeas in large rallies, while ignoring our brave troops and wounded.

Obama also voted against requiring medical care for aborted fetuses who survive. Some see this as a refusal to help the helpless.    He supported allowing retired police officers to carry concealed weapons, but opposed allowing people to use  handguns to defend against intruders in their homes.   He also opposed letting people use a self-defense argument if charged with violating local handgun bans by using weapons in their homes.  Below you will see that Obama favors helping criminals, but does not support our right to protect oursleves.

·  Unsuccessfully sponsored measure to expunge some criminal records and create an employment grant program for ex-criminals. (2002)

·  Unsuccessfully sponsored limit of one handgun purchase per month. (2000)

·  Voted against making gang members eligible for the death penalty if they kill someone to help their gang. (2001)

So, now we must all ask ourselves, after reading what he has and has not done.  It seems that Obama only votes on bills that he chooses.  The bills he has voted on show a clear indication, that he will support criminals, allow fetus to die, and ban handguns as a means of self defense.  Not to mention give our tax dollars overseas while some at home suffer.   The civil rights that he talks about so much, meant so little that he did not show up again today to vote on this bill.

It is my belief this shows a lack of caring on the part of the Senator.  This appears to be a pattern, happening over and over.  His clear lack of caring for our Military, our poor, our native Community and our Constitutional rights; let us see beyond the hype.

So, I must say again, Senator Obama your chair is empty…

A Soldiers Letter- Recanted

A Soldiers Letter – Recanted…..

Today, I am witnessing the slow death of Freedom Of Speech.  This right is being dwindled away, like chips of a stone.  My post A Soldiers Letter, from last week has caused many problems for the soldier who wrote the letter.  The letter has been recanted, due to pressure from his superior officers, and the Obama camp. It is a sad day in America, when we cannot speak out as citizens.   The writer of the letter, stated it was meant, only for his family.  I understand that point of view, but what I do not understand is how can we, as Americans, tolerate such suppression.

Native Americans know exactly what it is like, to have no say.  We and our ancestors have been there.  We have silently watched our heritage and culture slowly destroyed, before our very eyes.  Suppression of our culture, language and religion were dwindled away, until many exist no more.

The clear lack of caring from Obama, was never more apparent, than his last trip to Europe.  It shows his true self, speaking to large crowds, without the slightest care of any of our service members.  This trip was propaganda, in the purest form.  Photos were taken, and the suppression of truth ran rapid.  I believe the soldiers letter was from the heart, and truthful.

However, it did not show the image Obama wanted us to see.  This election is more about images than we notice.  The right photos can be remembered long after the words.  For Example, I think almost everyone remembers the photo of JFK in the car seconds before he was shot, or Hitler speaking to large crowds.  Or the tanks in China, rolling down the streets.  But does anymore remember the words, I doubt many do.

The question we must now all ask ourselves, is if Obama does not care enough to visit wounded service members, what makes any of us think we will be important?   The answer to me is quite clear, we will not.   Not only will Native Americans be at the bottom of his concerns, so will all Americans.   Words, are just that, words.  Easily forgotten in the moments in time.

Think Before you vote..

Letter From A Soldier

Letter From A Solider

Hello everyone,

As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to “The War Zone”. I wanted to share with you what happened.

He got off the plan and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram. As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn’t say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General.

As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service. So really he was just here to make a showing for the American’s back home that he is their candidate for President.

I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you. I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the President of the United States. I just don’t understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.

If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what
kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.

In service,
CPT J. P*****

The slow death of America……

This post is in regard to many different issues.  Over the past few weeks, things have changed.  The change Obama has promised is slowing showing its ugly face accross the blogs.  That face is to silence freedom of speech and expression in America.  Out blog, reflections-in-tyme was silenced by Obma supporters.  We have moved, and this blog is overrun by hurtful racist remarks.  I have to moderate evey post, in order to stop the ugly words posted.  They have attempted to have our videos removed, shut down our blog.

It appears the 1st amendment only apples if you agree with Obama and his supporters.  To engage in a converstaion, is not a optician any longer. To point out things that you believe may be important to your people, is not considered.  Honestly, it is a triesless problem.  In order to dispute our claims, the Obama campaign and the supporters belief the best offence is to simply shut us up.

They do not care to address our issuses or concerns.  These supporters come from all walks of life and some within our own Native Communities.  This tells me they do not care about the issues facing the Native Community, they only care to cover up the myth that is Obama.

Native Americans lost everything and became a part of this country.  These people are now attempting to take away our constitutional rights, as well.   We all know freedowm of press, habis corpis and many other things have died.  What more will they take?  Or better yet, what more have we to give up?

I speak as a Native American, but also as A  American.   I only wish to inform voters with the truth, nothing more.  As long as we true a blind eye to the issues , then we will continue to be blind.   The truth is what is is, and can not be masked in myths any longer.  It is my love for the people, that drives me.  I am sure many bloggers feel the same way.  How long will we let this continue?  Or should I say, how long will the haters continue?  It is they who harass, and call us names.  We speak the truth, and are martyrs for a cause we believe in.   So, we die a slow death, and the freedoms that caused the almost destruction of Native Americans are dieing with us….

“The Pretender”

First I would like to thank wildflowersandi who is a member of our Group Native Americans Against of Obama, for the use of her video.  I wanted to feature this video, because I believe it shows the truth about Obama.  He is nothing more than a showman.

This video does not address specific Native American Issues, however it does show how he cannot be trusted.  Which is the topic I wish to address.

Trust is something the Native American community can relate to.  We have been lied to so many times, that we begin to expect it.  Now, a promise of hope and change, comes along.  This promise turns many heads, and makes some of us believe in something again.

This is true not only of Native Americans, but for any people who are in desperate situations.  Many on the reservations have no running water, many Native American children go to bed hungry each night.  So, for people looking for hope, Obama is the answer.

But, the problem is, he is not any different than those who have gone before him.  He is a politician who brings promises that he has no intention of keeping.  We have heard theses promises for so long, it amazes me that anyone could possibly believe them.  But the sad truth is, Obama knows our weakness and uses them against us.

This is the reason, he changes positions like the wind blows.  Whatever a person wants to hear that is his message.  He talks only to accomplish his goal.  Sound Familiar?  It should to any Native American.  How many treaties have we signed, only to be lied to?  In the end they got our land, our children, and our very lives.

How much more do we have to give before we see the truth?  Think before you vote.

Native Americans Against Obama

This is the first time in a long time that this blog has strayed away from our core message.  However, today I felt I must.  The video above is a movie trailer, made by untied citizens.  Native Americans Against Obama, had nothing to do with it.  But, I must say that it is my hope, that this film will sweep the nation, like a strong wind.

I have been speaking out against Obama for a long time now.  I have written about everything this film covers.  However, when it comes to Obama supporters, it falls to deaf ears.

Many have blindly followed him, without ever looking back.  Its almost as if they believe they will turn to a pillar of salt, like Lot’s wife in the Old Testament.

At this blog we have always tried to expose the truth on the candidates.  I have pointed out the lies, cover ups, and scandals that involve Obama.  For months, I have watched and so have many of you, the clear favoritism of mainstream media.  Yesterday, it was pointed out, that the American Flag on the back of Obama’s Airplane has been painted over.  It was replaced by his “Yes we can Change Logo”.

The mainstream media did not report this.  So, we must ask ourselves, what has happened to this nation?  The truth is sad, as A Native American we lost everything as a people.  All for what?  So, the united states could be what it is today?  If that perception is true, this is truly a sad day for America.

This film is to be released in September.  It is my hope that it will reach as many as possible, and not fall on deaf ears.  Like the storms of the dustbowl swept the great plains, I pray the truth will sweep America, reaching every corner of all the reservations, and every corner of Appalachia.  ‘

This film covers all the reasons any American, should know before they vote.  This is a broader view of the man, and shows just why Obama cannot be trusted. To many times Native Americans, and Americans in general have trusted a leader only to be fooled.  Do not let history repeat itself, “think before you vote”.

I have to say this is a issue close to my heart.  The number of bison slaughtered each year continues to grow.  I am sure many will say, that this has nothing to do with Obama.  I happen to disagree, because he could help.  But only, if he chooses to.  A bill was introduced in 2005 The Yellowstone Buffalo Preservation Act (HR 2428)

The health and well-being of the last surviving wild population of bison in the United States depends on what happens next. Though no legislative action has been taken by the subcommittee, Congress has requested the General Accounting Office to investigate and report on Yellowstone bison management and a $13 million dollar taxpayer financed agreement to protect 6,770 acre of habitat for wildlife on the Royal Teton Ranch.

However, this bill has gone no where.  It was sent to sub committee in 03/07.  So Obama could step in and see to it, to help save the buffalo. A new Bill could be introduced, or he could stand behind us and take the lead contacting the subcommittee and letting them know he supports this issue in order to stop the slaughter.  Our Nations bison are a national treasure, and should not be killed.  They are as important to this country, as the bald eagle.

There was a time, when they roamed the Americas.  The thunderbeast, gave life to many of our people.  In the 19th century, the buffalo were hunted to almost extinction.  We cannot let that happen again.

This is not a issue where Obama did not vote.  The bill has never made it any further than the house.  So, I am sure that Obama supporters will say, there is nothing he can do.  I disagree, he could draft a new bill, or reach out to subcommittee members.  There is a reason I do not think he will.  Its because killing of the bison, is what some ranchers want.

A handful of ranchers graze cattle on public and private land adjacent to Yellowstone National Park. The Montana Department of Livestock (MDOL) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) claim that these cattle are at risk of contracting brucellosis from Yellowstone’s buffalo, a disease originally brought to wildlife from European cattle. It is extremely important to note that there has never been a documented case of a wild buffalo transmitting brucellosis to livestock. Brucellosis is a disease that can cause spontaneous abortions in cattle. The state of Montana on behalf of the livestock industry has killed more than 3200 buffalo since 1985 based on the unsubstantiated fear that Yellowstone buffalo will transmit brucellosis to cattle. There has, however, never been a confirmed case of brucellosis transmission from buffalo to cattle under natural conditions. Indeed, in Grand Teton National Park, where infected buffalo and livestock have co-mingled for more than 45 years, there has not been a single incident of disease transmission.

I am sure Obama supporters will also say, why hasn’t McCain done anything, and the video does not mention him.  That is true, I do not deny that. However, we are trying to point out Obama made a promise, to stand behind Native American Issues.

We are asking Obama to full fill his promise.  This is what he said to us.  “I want you to know that I will never forget you,” he said. The United States government cannot undo wrongs against Indian peoples, he said But they can elect a president committed to do what’s right for Native Americans.s and sisters”.

“And since now I’m a member of the family you know I won’t break my promises to my brother

So far, Obama has done nothing to fillfull this promise.  Words, are just that, words.  Without action, they have no meaning…….

Senate Bill 2 2731, introduced by Sentor Obama recently passed the Senate.   Obama & John McCain did not vote on this bill.  This bill passed by a majority of 80- 16 margin.  Obama drafted the bill, in hopes of sending billions overseas.  But it seems he must now share the wealth!

I commend Senator John Thune(R) from the state of South Dakota & Senator Jon Kyl (R) from the state of AZ.  If not for them every dime of the billions would be going overseas.  However, due to these two mens efferts, and the efferts of many Sentors, the bill has passed with at least part of the billions going to Native Americans.

This bill will cost the tax payers of 800 billion dollars!  Before the bill was admended, with a appriation of funds for Native Americans, I opposed this bill.  However, it is my feeling that the very least they can do is share some of the wealth with those you need it most.

“It’s an embarrassment that we in the Congress are not able to meet these requirements for our own Native American population and yet we’re willing to spend $50 billion on this foreign aid program,” added Kyl, the second-ranking Republican in the Senate.

Thune said his amendment addresses a wide range of law enforcement and justice issues. Half of the $1 billion will go to the Department of Justice for construction, rehabilitation and placement of detention facilities.

Another 40 percent would go to the Bureau of Indian Affairs to fund law enforcement personnel and tribal courts. The remaining 10 percent of the $1 billion is dedicated to investigations and prosecutions by the FBI and U.S. Attorneys and for other justice efforts.

“Tribal, state, and federal leaders face a host of challenges in Indian Country, and many of them have roots in inadequate funding and infrastructure for law enforcement,” Thune said yesterday.

One “conservative” Republican senator, John Thune of South Dakota, talked about how he managed to obtain $2 billion in the bill for “tribal needs” such as water projects and “public safety” on Indian reservations.

Granted 2 billion is not alot in comparison to the 50 billion, however at least some of the funds will go to Native American Needs.  This seems like a small victory in comparison to billions going overseas.  But I do commend the Senators efforts, regarding Native American Issues.  I am totally opposed to sending any funds overseas, when so many of our own people suffer, so greatly.

I believe this money would be best spent in the United States.  However, wthout the efforts of these two men, all the funds would be spent outside our shores.  It is a disgrace that Senator Obama, would introduce such a bill.  Then not even bother to show up for the vote.

This only furthers my belief, that Obama has no concern for Native Americans.   His only concern was to draft the bill, intended for overseas spending.  Then, once the bill was amended to alot funds to Americans, he did not show up.

This is a clear indication, where his loyalties lay.  Unfortunately it is not with Native Americans or Americans in general

It Isn’t Often……

It isn’t Often that I have the honor to say thank you.  But today is that day!  I must commend Senator John Thune(R) from the state of South Dakota & Senator Jon Kyl (R) from the state of AZ.  These two men, are desperatly trying to help Native Americans that are much in need.  This help has been overlooked far to long.  I also wish to thank Senator Dick Durbin(D) for his promised support…

This bill was drafted by Obama, and was made for aid to countries overseas.  If it was up to Obama, this bill would not be for Native Americans.  The Senators from AZ and South Dakota, are trying to change that.  It appears that Obama and McCain are to busy campianing to vote on this bill.  I encourage them to vote!  Do not stand back and watch others do the work!  Show Indian Country you mean what you say!!  Now is your chance….

Senator Thune & Senator Kyl are leading the charge for the money as part of S.2731, a bill that would provide $50 billion for HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and related programs worldwide. The two Republicans question why the United States can’t share some of the funding with tribes.

“There are two other needs on our Indian reservations that are drastic, they are emergencies,” Kyl said on the Senate floor yesterday, referring to law enforcement and water.

A report that was commissioned by the Bush administration recommended the construction of 263 detention facilities at a cost of $8.4 billion over 10 years, Kyl noted.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) vowed to be the “first in line” to vote for the amendment. He said tribes are being “shortchanged and deprived” by the federal government.

“When Sen. Kyl and others come forward and ask use to find money to help Native Americans, they can count on many of us on the Democratic side,” said Durbin, the second-highest Democrat in the Senate.

Along with the Thune and Kyl amendment, the Senate will consider 10 amendments to the global health bill. A final vote is expected later this week.

The effort comes at the BIA considers just what it takes to improve law enforcement on reservations. One example is coming from the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation, where the agency is spending $1 million over three months to combat high crime rates.

According to press reports from South Dakota, the “surge” has been successful. But Pat Ragsdale, the director of the BIA’s Office of Justice Services, has acknowledged that Operation Dakota Peacekeeper could end once the money runs out.

As part of the Interior Department‘s budget, Secretary Dirk Kempthorne has increased funding for law enforcement in the past two years. But officials acknowledge the BIA only meets about half of the need for police officers on reservations.

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee is considering draft legislation to address what Sen. Byron Dorgan(D-North Dakota) calls a “crisis” in public safety on reservations. Thune is co-sponsoring the bill.

Everyone should write and call both McCain & Obama and encourage them to vote on this bill!

Show us were you really stand…

This story has been talked about alot online. I would like to address it with facts. Below are facts, not rumors. This new website has popped up, and is doing its best to divide Native Americans. Do not let this happen. This bill is about a land dispute between the Hopi and Navajo Tribes. It began long ago over 30 years ago. John McCain is simply trying get the tribes to settle this dispute. I want to be perfectly clear, I found no evidence that McCain, is trying to take anything away from anyone. I have read the bill, and it wants a compromise from both tribes. However, he did NOT over rule tribal government. I also want to say that Native Americans Against Obama endorses no candidate. We are here to give voters the facts, then make their own decision. If I had found John McCain at fault, I would say so.

The Hopi Tribe of Arizona and the Navajo Nation are still at odds over legislation aimed at putting an end to their long-running land dispute. The Hopi Tribe supports S.1003, sponsored by Sen. John McCain (R-Arizonasponsored by Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona). It would require Navajo families who remain on Hopi land to relocate to Navajo land, or agree to Hopi jurisdiction if they decide not to move.

The Senate Indian Committee did take action on the issue and let the nation stand on the issue rule. McCain did not over rule tribal government sovereignty in this case.

While Senator McCain and Mr. Bavasi, Executive Director of the Office of Navajo Hopi Relocation, state that the program is “voluntary” and imply that no one has been forced to relocate, Hopi Chairman Wayne Taylor clearly and explicitly states his belief that a goal of this Senate bill is to finish the job of relocation. Mr. Tessler states that the Department of Interior is reluctant to forcibly remove and relocate Navajo.

Senator McCain asks for the opinion of President Shirley and Chairman Wayne Taylor regarding the Bennett Freeze. They say that an agreement has been reached, that it has been approved by the Hopi Tribal Council and that it is in front of the Navajo Nation council.Senator McCain and Roman Bitsuie and Denetsosie discuss expenditures for the Rehabilitation Trust Fund, problems with the Paragon ranch, and problems with funding for homes for Navajo on Hopi Partition Land.
The website below is set up and run by a big oil co. in Canada supported by others co.

Their using this intertribal issue to turn Indians against McCain because the Indian committee sided with the Navajo Nation over the other two tribal groups wanting to take and clam land.

This web site is trying to play Indians against each other just like the Washington Lobbies
Jack Abramofff and all other lobbies in Washington, DC. today. Because Indians have land that has a ton of resources the world needs, but they don’t want Indian people to get a DIME for it!!
We need to see just how much money these company’s have already gave to Obama!!!

I have to say that this was a very difficult video to make. I want to be clear that the main reason I made it was to rasie awarness, and show the pandering of Obama to the Native American Community.

As to the problem of Poverty and unemployment on alot of our reservations, it is a undenable fact.  With 70% unemployment and no running water, the conditions are unexceptable.  Our Policticians have ignored this problem for to long.  The meare promise of “Change” does not make it so.  We need someone who will stand up for all peoples rights.

I have to admit, that until recently I was not aware that they problem was so widespread.  I am a mixed blood, from the Eastern Cherokee Band.  However, I have lived my entire life in White America.  Both my parents were mixed race.  Both from a German immigrant fathers and Cherokee mothers.  However, my mothers family choose to live as whites, and “pass”.  My fathers was slightly different, they choose to live white, and simply ignore my grandmother and her “strange ways”, as the rest of the family called it.

Poverty was not something I knew, as A young child. This was due to my parents living within the white community, I had little contact with my Native Heritage.  My earlisest memeory of this, was when my father took me to the burial mounds in Southern Ohio.  I was about 5, and not really interested.  But that day my father told me things, that I still carry with me to this day.

He showned me the mounds, and we looked for arrowheads.  The place was called Flint Ridge, and pieces of flint could be found lying all ove the ground.  My father held up a small piece of flint, and then he said, “never forget where you came from”.

I have to say at the age of 5, I had no idea what he was talking about.   It was only when I got older I understood the meaning of his words.

It was my fathers words, that lead me on a journey into History.  I have learned alot along the way, some good, some bad.  Through the Rolls, I learned who some of my family members were, most of them I have never met. But most of all, I have learned who I truly am.

it is heartbreaking for me, to see Native Americans fooled again by a politician.   This has happened so many times, like a circle that never ends.  The problems on the Reservations, will not go away by a politician making promises. The issues are real and affect real people.  Until we have someone who will stand up for us, and do something, nothing will change.

It sadens my heart to think of the young people who are being so mislead by Obama.   The promise of “hope and change’ is very appealing, to those who are in such despeate need.  But hope and change are not the answer to our problems.  We need real solutions, to real problems.

It is the goal of Native Americans Against Obama, to educate all who will listen.   I hope we can at least, inform voters of the truth.  I will not tell anyone who to vote for, but can only hope as a voter they will learn as much as possible and think before you vote.
