The name of our blog and group will now be

AMERICAN INDIAN TEA PARTY NATION

The forgotten Man

It has been a long time since I have written a blog post, but today it is needed. It seems everything that has happened in the past 18 months has been blamed on bush. The problem is, it is time for Obama and Congress to stand up and fix the mess they have caused. Millions of people are without unemployment as I write. This post is directed at the Republicans as well as the Dems. They seem to be able to pass health care, finacial reform and any other cause they please as long as it lines thier own pockets. Never giving on thought to those who need help.

Some may agure that extending unemployment is not the answer, but without this small amount of help many will do without. It is not for lack of trying as jobs are almost non exsistant today. The only thing that is stopping the United States from returning to the unemployment rates of the depression is unemployment benifits. Yet, now the republicans, think the best thing to do is block this legislation.

It is rare I agree with Obama, but today I do. All members of congress need to stop playing politics and think about the average unemployed american. They didn’t seem concerned about the cost of health care, when they shoved that legisaltion through. Now that we are getting closer to November, they are concerned about the cost. This tells me one thing, no matter the party, none can be trusted.

I do not want to expand the government, but to deny millions unemployment when there are no jobs is completely and utterly heartless! It just goes to show that the only change we have seen is for the worse! For months before the election I warned that it would be a economic nightmare after the election. This has come to pass. Many say that the benifits have been extended enough! However, I am not sure everyone understands how this works. What it means is that many who have collected unemployment for a year and a half have no more benifits, that being said, I also want to piont out that many who have been unemployed for a few months also have no benifits!

I for one am one of those people, it is not something I am proud of, nor do I like the Idea. However, I understand that the Republicans want to know how to pay for this. The Dems need to find a way and
pass the bill! Many have been without help since May!!! I find it appalling that Hillary promised 500 million dollars to pakastan, when millions of americans have no job and no income. If the refuse to pass this, it will reflect on all incombants this fall.

Obama and the dems have ruined our economy, bush had nothing to do with the massive unemployment rates we now see. To make matters worse, our only hope was the republican party. Now it looks as though they to have abandoned the ones who need it most.

So, where does this leave all those who can find no job and have no income? I wish I had a answer for them, but I don’t. It seems there is no one in congress willing to help. Contact your congressman, ask them to pass the bill. I would love to know where all those congressmen are when we need them. The answer is simple they are to busy passing financial reform and regulating businesses so that they all are afraid to create jobs. Its all about power and control, and not about the people. This country was built on the people, for the people. But those values have been long forgotten, thrown in the pit of darkness, not to be seen. Thus is the status of our country, one that helps all other nations, but never its own.

Every time a country needs help we respond, we even help bail out Greece, GM,Crysler and the banks. But the forgotten man is still very much forgotten. Why? the reason is simple, it does not line the pockets of congress.

May the great spirit help us all, for he is the only one we can trust.

The Color of Tea

This is not a secret. I’m not revealing some great truth here. This has been known for a long time by a lot of people, including those whose job it was to report such things to you during the 2008 primaries and general election. However, they chose not to. They were afraid, afraid to be called a racist and afraid that their vision of a liberal utopia would be destroyed and a cranky old white man would get elected.

Obama’s past is littered with radicals and crazies who served as his mentors, advisors and pastors. His mind has been polluted by terrible ideas since boyhood. We shouldn’t be surprised at what we see today.

His youth in Hawaii was spent in an almost father-son relationship with an avowed communist, Frank Marshall Davis. Do you think Davis was teaching Obama about the greatness of America and the merits of dynamic capitalism?

For 22 years his pastor was Rev. Jeremiah Wright, a racist America-hater whose rantings caused the Obama campaign some minor embarrassment but little real trouble since the mainstream media refused to show the incendiary sermons that “damned” America. Obama claimed to have sat under his preaching for all those years yet never heard anything like what was found on the excerpts that surfaced during the campaign. Was Wright counseling the young Chicago politician in the inherent goodness of the American people and the exceptionalism that makes America a shining light in a dark world?

His neighbor and good friends were William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, unrepentant domestic terrorists who tried to kill cops and military personnel when protesting the Vietnam War. Many suspect that Ayers was the actual author of Obama’s first book and the puppetmaster behind the Obama’s rise in politics. What do you think Ayers and Dorhn love most about America and how they might have passed that love on to their community organizer neighbor Obama?

His wife Michelle proclaimed during the campaign that for the first time in her adult life she was proud of her country? What kind of twisted view of America has she contributed to the president?

Obama is the classic academic liberal, long on book knowledge and theory but lacking in practical experience. The books say how things should work in a liberal utopia, and the coffeehouse discussions explain how it will all work, but there is no practical evidence of truth based on actual experience. It’s all a pipe dream.

Obama has been raised to believe that America is not exceptional and a beacon of freedom and hope, but in fact is the source of most evil in the world today. America is an arrogant superpower and until she can be brought down to the level of the rest of the world we’ll never be able to solve global warming, bring peace throughout the nations, and live in a world where there are rainbows and unicorns for everyone.

To accomplish this America must be weakened. Our economic system must be damaged beyond repair, our military neutered, and our people subjugated by the government to ensure that no one prospers and starts thinking for themselves. Americans must be dependent on their government so America can take it’s rightful place among failing socialist democracies.

Americans must be taxed at levels designed to punish achievement and reward sloth. Those who achieve must be forced by regulation and threat to give their bounty away to those who have done nothing to earn it other than breathe and vote for Democrats. A minority of Americans must pay the bills for the majority. With 47% of households not paying ANY income tax, we’re getting very close to that liberal ideal.

Obama’s life-long hatred of America, developed and nurtured over the years by the radicals and crazies he was drawn to, is now being played out in real life. It’s no longer an academic exercise, but a real and growing tragedy for this country.

And it was all very predictable. Maybe if he hadn’t been a “clean and articulate” liberal black man who could give a good speech the media might have done its job and vetted him with the intensity they applied to Sarah Palin. Maybe they would have discovered his past full of lefties, loons and really dangerous people and would have reported it with the same earnestness they reported Palin’s daughter’s pregnancy.

Yeah, and maybe this is the week I’ll get my rainbows and unicorns.

Native American Veterans Deserve Equal Treatment

I am just a Native American retired army veteran who has a story to tell. It concerns the taxes that most states deducted from the military pay of Indian Veterans. The story is not new but very few know of it. All these veterans deserve this money be returned.
The SSCRA of 1940 was a federal law put in place to protect all servicemen and their property from unfair and shady mistreatment while they wee away from their homes serving in the military.

A section of this act specifically prohibited states from imposing an income tax on the military wages of Native American Indian veterans if these veterans claimed Indian Lands as there homes when they joined up. Everyone knows that if Indians work and live on the reservations or tribal trust lands that they do not pay state and local taxes. The SSCRA states that Tribal veterans will be taxed as if they were still on tribal trust lands.

Even though this federal law was enacted in 1940 our relatives who served in the armed forces were illegally taxed by the state their tribe was located in. The SSCRA mentioned double taxation but DD 2058 ( state of legal residence certificate to determine the correct state of legal residence for purposes of withholding state income tax from military pay) was not available until 1977. This means that states were not only taxing military pay but double taxing in some cases. State governments run off of income taxes.

If a veteran happened to be stationed and earning wages in more than one state in a tax period they were undoubtedly taxed by all states involved. DD form 2058 was invented in 1977 to stop this illegal double taxation however their was no mention of the illegal taxation that states were deducting from the pay of Native American Indian veterans.

These tribal veterans by law were exempt from any state income tax because they did not lose their tribal trust taxation status simply by leaving the tribal lands to comply with military orders. A separate form DD 2058-2(specifically for Native Americans), was not introduced by the department of defense until July of 2002. This form when signed exempted Indian veterans from state income taxes .

Native American Veterans were always exempt from state income taxes through countless treaties with the United States government and the SSCRA of 1940.
A bill HR 5275 ,The Native American veteran Pay restoration Act ,was introduced into the 108th congress to correct this mistreatment and repay these veterans but it went nowhere and was never heard of again.

Simply by introducing this bill the government admits to this broken promise and illegal act .Thousands of veterans deserve that this money be returned.
The stimulus bill resolves a six-decade dispute over their U.S. service
By Amanda Ruggeri
Posted March 13, 2009
Tucked between allocations of $150 million to states for nursing home construction and $90 million for passport agencies, one provision in the 1,079-page federal stimulus bill has nothing to do with creating jobs—but it does settle a 63-year-old battle.

The provision compensates Filipino veterans of World War II, survivors now in their 80s and 90s, with lump-sum payments

of $15,000 if they are U.S. citizens or $9,000 if they are not. The cost, $198 million, doesn’t add to the bill’s total cost because the funds were appropriated last year. Still, some critics complain that this doesn’t belong in a stimulus bill and that the funds should go elsewhere. One better use of the money could have been for underfunded veterans’ programs, says Dennis Cullinan, legislative director of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The issue dates back to 1941, when the Philippines was under U.S. control. President Roosevelt conscripted members of the Philippine Army into the U.S. military to fight Japan. By the end of the war, as many as 430,000 Filipinos had fought under Gen. Douglas MacArthur, including 60,000 in the 80,000-soldier Bataan death march. In 1942, Congress recognized Filipinos’ service by promising them benefits equal to those of U.S. veterans. But that was reversed by the 1946 Rescission Act—some say for financial reasons, others say because of racism. “We made a promise, and then we did not carry it through,” says Democratic Rep. Bob Filner, who has fought for the compensation for 17 years.

One sentence in the 1946 act especially smarted: the claim that their service wasn’t “active.” Tell that to Amadeo Urbano. “We were so active in harassing these Japanese,” says the former guerrilla, now 85 and living in Arlington, Va. “But when victory was won, we were forgotten.”

Bills to provide full benefits have been introduced since 1989. All were defeated, including one last year. The one “small victory,” says Ben de Guzman of the National Alliance for Filipino Veterans Equity, was that Congress appropriated the $198 million to be released at a later date. Some opponents objected to paying nonnationals while programs for American veterans went underfunded.

Some cited concerns that the measure could open the door to other claims. Advocates counter that, of the soldiers of 67 nationalities who fought for the U.S. military in World War II, all but the Filipinos have received equitable benefits. Democratic Sen. Daniel Inouye, who sponsored the stimulus provision authorizing the funds’ release, doesn’t dispute one of the critics’ points. “This is not a stimulus proposal. It does not create jobs,” he said on the floor. “But the honor of the United States is what is involved.”

Some sacrifices were made to win passage. One was a clause saying acceptance of the payment constitutes “a complete release of any claim against the United States.” Another was disbursement as a lump sum, which totals far less than American-born counterparts received in monthly benefits over their lifetimes.

But more important, say many veterans, is at long last setting the historical record straight. The provision declares that their service time “is hereby recognized as active military service.” Says Urbano, “What is most important is our recognition—we are now considered veterans of the Second World War.”

You’d think the Obama administration is busy enough controlling the banks, insurance companies and automakers, but thanks to whistleblowers at the Department of the Interior, we now learn they’re planning to increase their control over energy-rich land in the West.

A secret administration memo has surfaced revealing plans for the federal government to seize more than 10 million acres from Montana to New Mexico, halting job- creating activities like ranching, forestry, mining and energy development. Worse, this land grab would dry up tax revenue that’s essential for funding schools, firehouses and community centers.

President Obama could enact the plans in this memo with just the stroke of a pen, without any input from the communities affected by it.

At a time when our national unemployment rate is 9.7 percent, it is unbelievable anyone would be looking to stop job-creating energy enterprises, yet that’s exactly what’s happening.

The document lists 14 properties that, according to the document, “might be good candidates” for Mr. Obama to nab through presidential proclamation. Apparently, Washington bureaucrats believe it’s more important to preserve grass and rocks for birdwatchers and backpackers than to keep these local economies thriving.

Administration officials claim the document is merely the product of a brainstorming session, but anyone who reads this memo can see that it is a wish list for the environmentalist left. It discusses, in detail, what kinds of animal populations would benefit from limiting human activity in those areas.

The 21-page document, marked “Internal Draft-NOT FOR RELEASE,” names 14 different lands Mr. Obama could completely close for development by unilaterally designating them as “monuments” under the 1906 Antiquities Act.

It says all kinds of animals would be better off by doing so, like the coyotes, badgers, grouse, chickens and lizards. But giving the chickens more room to roost is no reason for the government to override states’ rights.

Rep. Robert Bishop, Utah Republican, made the memo public because he didn’t want another unilateral land grab by the White House, like what happened under former Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter.

We will be discussing this on our radio show this friday.

Joseph Andrew Stack Manifesto- Texas crash

I know the country has been a mess for some time, and this story shows how bad things have become.

Check out the anti-big brother rant on EmbeddedArt.com that’s almost certainly from the pilot of the crash.

The manifesto is dated today, and it even anticipated his death.

———

If you’re reading this, you’re no doubt asking yourself, “Why did this have to happen?” The simple truth is that it is complicated and has been coming for a long time. The writing process, started many months ago, was intended to be therapy in the face of the looming realization that there isn’t enough therapy in the world that can fix what is really broken. Needless to say, this rant could fill volumes with example after example if I would let it. I find the process of writing it frustrating, tedious, and probably pointless… especially given my gross inability to gracefully articulate my thoughts in light of the storm raging in my head. Exactly what is therapeutic about that I’m not sure, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

We are all taught as children that without laws there would be no society, only anarchy. Sadly, starting at early ages we in this country have been brainwashed to believe that, in return for our dedication and service, our government stands for justice for all. We are further brainwashed to believe that there is freedom in this place, and that we should be ready to lay our lives down for the noble principals represented by its founding fathers. Remember? One of these was “no taxation without representation”. I have spent the total years of my adulthood unlearning that crap from only a few years of my childhood. These days anyone who really stands up for that principal is promptly labeled a “crackpot”, traitor and worse.

While very few working people would say they haven’t had their fair share of taxes (as can I), in my lifetime I can say with a great degree of certainty that there has never been a politician cast a vote on any matter with the likes of me or my interests in mind. Nor, for that matter, are they the least bit interested in me or anything I have to say.

Why is it that a handful of thugs and plunderers can commit unthinkable atrocities (and in the case of the GM executives, for scores of years) and when it’s time for their gravy train to crash under the weight of their gluttony and overwhelming stupidity, the force of the full federal government has no difficulty coming to their aid within days if not hours? Yet at the same time, the joke we call the American medical system, including the drug and insurance companies, are murdering tens of thousands of people a year and stealing from the corpses and victims they cripple, and this country’s leaders don’t see this as important as bailing out a few of their vile, rich cronies. Yet, the political “representatives” (thieves, liars, and self-serving scumbags is far more accurate) have endless time to sit around for year after year and debate the state of the “terrible health care problem”. It’s clear they see no crisis as long as the dead people don’t get in the way of their corporate profits rolling in.

And justice? You’ve got to be kidding!

How can any rational individual explain that white elephant conundrum in the middle of our tax system and, indeed, our entire legal system? Here we have a system that is, by far, too complicated for the brightest of the master scholars to understand. Yet, it mercilessly “holds accountable” its victims, claiming that they’re responsible for fully complying with laws not even the experts understand. The law “requires” a signature on the bottom of a tax filing; yet no one can say truthfully that they understand what they are signing; if that’s not “duress” than what is. If this is not the measure of a totalitarian regime, nothing is.

How did I get here?

My introduction to the real American nightmare starts back in the early ‘80s. Unfortunately after more than 16 years of school, somewhere along the line I picked up the absurd, pompous notion that I could read and understand plain English. Some friends introduced me to a group of people who were having ‘tax code’ readings and discussions. In particular, zeroed in on a section relating to the wonderful “exemptions” that make institutions like the vulgar, corrupt Catholic Church so incredibly wealthy. We carefully studied the law (with the help of some of the “best”, high-paid, experienced tax lawyers in the business), and then began to do exactly what the “big boys” were doing (except that we weren’t steeling from our congregation or lying to the government about our massive profits in the name of God). We took a great deal of care to make it all visible, following all of the rules, exactly the way the law said it was to be done.

The intent of this exercise and our efforts was to bring about a much-needed re-evaluation of the laws that allow the monsters of organized religion to make such a mockery of people who earn an honest living. However, this is where I learned that there are two “interpretations” for every law; one for the very rich, and one for the rest of us… Oh, and the monsters are the very ones making and enforcing the laws; the inquisition is still alive and well today in this country.

That little lesson in patriotism cost me $40,000+, 10 years of my life, and set my retirement plans back to 0. It made me realize for the first time that I live in a country with an ideology that is based on a total and complete lie. It also made me realize, not only how naive I had been, but also the incredible stupidity of the American public; that they buy, hook, line, and sinker, the crap about their “freedom”… and that they continue to do so with eyes closed in the face of overwhelming evidence and all that keeps happening in front of them.

Before even having to make a shaky recovery from the sting of the first lesson on what justice really means in this country (around 1984 after making my way through engineering school and still another five years of “paying my dues”), I felt I finally had to take a chance of launching my dream of becoming an independent engineer.

On the subjects of engineers and dreams of independence, I should digress somewhat to say that I’m sure that I inherited the fascination for creative problem solving from my father. I realized this at a very young age.

The significance of independence, however, came much later during my early years of college; at the age of 18 or 19 when I was living on my own as student in an apartment in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. My neighbor was an elderly retired woman (80+ seemed ancient to me at that age) who was the widowed wife of a retired steel worker. Her husband had worked all his life in the steel mills of central Pennsylvania with promises from big business and the union that, for his 30 years of service, he would have a pension and medical care to look forward to in his retirement. Instead he was one of the thousands who got nothing because the incompetent mill management and corrupt union (not to mention the government) raided their pension funds and stole their retirement. All she had was social security to live on.

In retrospect, the situation was laughable because here I was living on peanut butter and bread (or Ritz crackers when I could afford to splurge) for months at a time. When I got to know this poor figure and heard her story I felt worse for her plight than for my own (I, after all, I thought I had everything to in front of me). I was genuinely appalled at one point, as we exchanged stories and commiserated with each other over our situations, when she in her grandmotherly fashion tried to convince me that I would be “healthier” eating cat food (like her) rather than trying to get all my substance from peanut butter and bread. I couldn’t quite go there, but the impression was made. I decided that I didn’t trust big business to take care of me, and that I would take responsibility for my own future and myself.

Return to the early ‘80s, and here I was off to a terrifying start as a ‘wet-behind-the-ears’ contract software engineer… and two years later, thanks to the fine backroom, midnight effort by the sleazy executives of Arthur Andersen (the very same folks who later brought us Enron and other such calamities) and an equally sleazy New York Senator (Patrick Moynihan), we saw the passage of 1986 tax reform act with its section 1706.

For you who are unfamiliar, here is the core text of the IRS Section 1706, defining the treatment of workers (such as contract engineers) for tax purposes. Visit this link for a conference committee report (http://www.synergistech.com/1706.shtml#ConferenceCommitteeReport) regarding the intended interpretation of Section 1706 and the relevant parts of Section 530, as amended. For information on how these laws affect technical services workers and their clients, read our discussion here (http://www.synergistech.com/ic-taxlaw.shtml).

SEC. 1706. TREATMENT OF CERTAIN TECHNICAL PERSONNEL.

(a) IN GENERAL – Section 530 of the Revenue Act of 1978 is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new subsection:

(d) EXCEPTION. – This section shall not apply in the case of an individual who pursuant to an arrangement between the taxpayer and another person, provides services for such other person as an engineer, designer, drafter, computer programmer, systems analyst, or other similarly skilled worker engaged in a similar line of work.

(b) EFFECTIVE DATE. – The amendment made by this section shall apply to remuneration paid and services rendered after December 31, 1986.

Note:

· “another person” is the client in the traditional job-shop relationship.

· “taxpayer” is the recruiter, broker, agency, or job shop.

· “individual”, “employee”, or “worker” is you.

Admittedly, you need to read the treatment to understand what it is saying but it’s not very complicated. The bottom line is that they may as well have put my name right in the text of section (d). Moreover, they could only have been more blunt if they would have came out and directly declared me a criminal and non-citizen slave. Twenty years later, I still can’t believe my eyes.

During 1987, I spent close to $5000 of my ‘pocket change’, and at least 1000 hours of my time writing, printing, and mailing to any senator, congressman, governor, or slug that might listen; none did, and they universally treated me as if I was wasting their time. I spent countless hours on the L.A. freeways driving to meetings and any and all of the disorganized professional groups who were attempting to mount a campaign against this atrocity. This, only to discover that our efforts were being easily derailed by a few moles from the brokers who were just beginning to enjoy the windfall from the new declaration of their “freedom”. Oh, and don’t forget, for all of the time I was spending on this, I was loosing income that I couldn’t bill clients.

After months of struggling it had clearly gotten to be a futile exercise. The best we could get for all of our trouble is a pronouncement from an IRS mouthpiece that they weren’t going to enforce that provision (read harass engineers and scientists). This immediately proved to be a lie, and the mere existence of the regulation began to have its impact on my bottom line; this, of course, was the intended effect.

Again, rewind my retirement plans back to 0 and shift them into idle. If I had any sense, I clearly should have left abandoned engineering and never looked back.

Instead I got busy working 100-hour workweeks. Then came the L.A. depression of the early 1990s. Our leaders decided that they didn’t need the all of those extra Air Force bases they had in Southern California, so they were closed; just like that. The result was economic devastation in the region that rivaled the widely publicized Texas S&L fiasco. However, because the government caused it, no one gave a shit about all of the young families who lost their homes or street after street of boarded up houses abandoned to the wealthy loan companies who received government funds to “shore up” their windfall. Again, I lost my retirement.

Years later, after weathering a divorce and the constant struggle trying to build some momentum with my business, I find myself once again beginning to finally pick up some speed. Then came the .COM bust and the 911 nightmare. Our leaders decided that all aircraft were grounded for what seemed like an eternity; and long after that, ‘special’ facilities like San Francisco were on security alert for months. This made access to my customers prohibitively expensive. Ironically, after what they had done the Government came to the aid of the airlines with billions of our tax dollars … as usual they left me to rot and die while they bailed out their rich, incompetent cronies WITH MY MONEY! After these events, there went my business but not quite yet all of my retirement and savings.

By this time, I’m thinking that it might be good for a change. Bye to California, I’ll try Austin for a while. So I moved, only to find out that this is a place with a highly inflated sense of self-importance and where damn little real engineering work is done. I’ve never experienced such a hard time finding work. The rates are 1/3 of what I was earning before the crash, because pay rates here are fixed by the three or four large companies in the area who are in collusion to drive down prices and wages… and this happens because the justice department is all on the take and doesn’t give a fuck about serving anyone or anything but themselves and their rich buddies.

To survive, I was forced to cannibalize my savings and retirement, the last of which was a small IRA. This came in a year with mammoth expenses and not a single dollar of income. I filed no return that year thinking that because I didn’t have any income there was no need. The sleazy government decided that they disagreed. But they didn’t notify me in time for me to launch a legal objection so when I attempted to get a protest filed with the court I was told I was no longer entitled to due process because the time to file ran out. Bend over for another $10,000 helping of justice.

So now we come to the present. After my experience with the CPA world, following the business crash I swore that I’d never enter another accountant’s office again. But here I am with a new marriage and a boatload of undocumented income, not to mention an expensive new business asset, a piano, which I had no idea how to handle. After considerable thought I decided that it would be irresponsible NOT to get professional help; a very big mistake.

When we received the forms back I was very optimistic that they were in order. I had taken all of the years information to Bill Ross, and he came back with results very similar to what I was expecting. Except that he had neglected to include the contents of Sheryl’s unreported income; $12,700 worth of it. To make matters worse, Ross knew all along this was missing and I didn’t have a clue until he pointed it out in the middle of the audit. By that time it had become brutally evident that he was representing himself and not me.

This left me stuck in the middle of this disaster trying to defend transactions that have no relationship to anything tax-related (at least the tax-related transactions were poorly documented). Things I never knew anything about and things my wife had no clue would ever matter to anyone. The end result is… well, just look around.

I remember reading about the stock market crash before the “great” depression and how there were wealthy bankers and businessmen jumping out of windows when they realized they screwed up and lost everything. Isn’t it ironic how far we’ve come in 60 years in this country that they now know how to fix that little economic problem; they just steal from the middle class (who doesn’t have any say in it, elections are a joke) to cover their asses and it’s “business-as-usual”. Now when the wealthy fuck up, the poor get to die for the mistakes… isn’t that a clever, tidy solution.

As government agencies go, the FAA is often justifiably referred to as a tombstone agency, though they are hardly alone. The recent presidential puppet GW Bush and his cronies in their eight years certainly reinforced for all of us that this criticism rings equally true for all of the government. Nothing changes unless there is a body count (unless it is in the interest of the wealthy sows at the government trough). In a government full of hypocrites from top to bottom, life is as cheap as their lies and their self-serving laws.

I know I’m hardly the first one to decide I have had all I can stand. It has always been a myth that people have stopped dying for their freedom in this country, and it isn’t limited to the blacks, and poor immigrants. I know there have been countless before me and there are sure to be as many after. But I also know that by not adding my body to the count, I insure nothing will change. I choose to not keep looking over my shoulder at “big brother” while he strips my carcass, I choose not to ignore what is going on all around me, I choose not to pretend that business as usual won’t continue; I have just had enough.

I can only hope that the numbers quickly get too big to be white washed and ignored that the American zombies wake up and revolt; it will take nothing less. I would only hope that by striking a nerve that stimulates the inevitable double standard, knee-jerk government reaction that results in more stupid draconian restrictions people wake up and begin to see the pompous political thugs and their mindless minions for what they are. Sadly, though I spent my entire life trying to believe it wasn’t so, but violence not only is the answer, it is the only answer. The cruel joke is that the really big chunks of shit at the top have known this all along and have been laughing, at and using this awareness against, fools like me all along.

I saw it written once that the definition of insanity is repeating the same process over and over and expecting the outcome to suddenly be different. I am finally ready to stop this insanity. Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let’s try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well.

The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed.

A Place we call home….

If any of you have not seen the videos below I encourage you to watch them. I am currently living in a hotel room. I need everyones help by emailing and calling the members of congress, and please feel free to spread this blog to anyone and everyone. I will start the story from the begining. ALmost 5 mnths ago, my husband lost his job, he became depressed and started to drink. There was a domestic violence incident, where he grabbed my arms. I was not injured, and did not need any medical attention. He was arrested and spent the night in jail. The next morning I talked to the da’s office, and advised them he needed help. That nothing like this had ever happened before. The judge agreed to lift a no contact order, providing he get treatment. He began treatment right away, and as fas as I know he is still in counseling. On Jan. 6th 2010, we went to court,I and my husband talked to the da, and his public defender.

We were told if he agreed to the plea bargin, we would not have to seperate. He agreed, and was given 1 year probation. I drove him straight to the probation dept, after court. He could not see his new probation officer that day, as she was busy. One week later, I recieved a phone call at my home and was told by his probation officer that I could not stay there.

I was told if I stayed in my own home, he would be arrested as she had made it a condition of his probation that we not live together. I told her I would be homeless, and had no job. Her best advise to me was to go to the homeless misson. I also told her the judge had lifted the no contact order, she then went on to say. “I don’t have to do what the judge says”. My husband was the only one working and if he left, I would lose my home as I cannot pay the bills with no job.

I also called my husbands public defender who assured me she would get this fixed within a matter of days. Needless to say, she never did. I called the da’s offfice and the told me they could not help me.

The probation office claimed I would not be allowed to go home, as it would be a liability to them if something happened to me. I explained I did not want a no contact order, and feel I did not need one. I offered to sign a wavier to release them from liabilitys, but they flattly refused.

I understand that no contact orders are needed by many people, but I don’t need one. It as been forced on me, and I have been forced out of my home. The local goverment has completly destroyed my life. This is a small situation, that snowballed into a very large ne. It just shows how much control they have over our lives. I really think the wild west is still alive and well in the state of Wyoming, as even as a victim I have no rights.

I am now living in a run down motel, and am not sure how long I will be able to stay. I had two hours notice from probation to leave my home, so I did not take alot of things with me. Thankflly Susan from my local tea party brought me cooking supplies and food.

I want to ensure everone I am in no danger by going home. I have written the judge called cngress and sent emails. The aclu, has refused to help me. So, please pass this blog and the two videos around. Also please write and email congress. The phone numbers and web sites to contact them are below.

I will keep everyne posted, as to what is going on, may the great spirt shine upon all of you.

Cap & Tax

Today, this  a bill passed the house, it now goes on to the senate.  Call washintong, send emails tell them not to pass this!  Today, as the economy is in meltdown, this only adds to the misery.

This bill will keep us, in a permanant state of poverty, unemployment and higer taxes.  Obama has kept his promises, he has not raised taxes on 95% of Americans.  But this is a hidden tax, and we all will pay for it.

In his own words, BEFORE Obama was elected, he said he would do this.  He would force us not to use energy.  Don’t get me wrong, it would be great if we were ready to change over to green energy.  But the truth is, we are not.  If you work in the coal, oil or gas industry, and still have a job you won’t for long.

This will only add to the miserys we have today.  How long we will let Congress and Obama, ruin our country?  There will be no way to turn this around, once it is signed into law.   Please contact your Congressmen, now!  Guess who gets rich from this bill?  Thats right, Acorn, and Wallstreet will get lots!  Goldman sacks and everyone on wall street, it is another bail out for them, basied on the backs of us!

Please do not let Congress turn America into one big Indian Reservation!  Poor, and unemployed!

Through Different Eyes

Through Different Eyes

Today, I see things through different eyes. I write this from a motel not far from the Wind River Reservation. Today, I attended a pow wow at the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody, Wyoming. On the way to the pow wow, I drove through Wind River Canyon. This is truly one of the most beautiful places on earth, from the snow capped mountains to the winding rivers, it is a site to be seen. It is as though you have stepped back in time, the land looks as though it was truly touched by the hand of the great spirit. The white water rapids, roll along the river, and eagles fly high above.

Along the river are three tipis, and you can almost imagine the ancestors stepping out from them. But, today something changed for me, something that is difficult to describe. I must start my story in the past, 16 years ago to be exact. It was 1992, and I had a dream. Most of the time, I pay little attention to such things. But this was different, and I knew it. The problem was not that I had a dream, the problem was it would not go away. It lasted night after night for almost a month. Silently taunting me, and leaving me more confused with each passing day.

I guess I should explain it, as best I can. It is still today as clear in my mind as it was 16 years ago. It began with me standing on a great prairie, with brown grass almost to my knees. The grass was blowing and leaning in the wind. I looked and the grass seemed to go on and on, as if it had no end. I looked down at my dress, it was homespun made from the butternut color. The dresses was long and covered my feet, I pulled the dress up, and saw I had no shoes. I also noticed my hands, they were darkened from the sun, and appeared to be much older than I was at that time. I wore no jewelry, that I could see, which was odd, as I always wore jewelry.

To my left was a tall wooden wall, I looked down the wall, and also could find no end. Then a large door open from within the wall itself. Then, out stepped a man, dressed in all white buckskin. He was tall and worn one lone eagle feather in the left side of his long black hair. The man reached his hand out to me, and I took it. He then lead me through the door, and into a strange scene. To my left, were many women and children, the women were all dressed like me. Long cotton dresses, that appeared to be from sometime in the 1800’s. They were all Native Americans, that was clear, and they were cooking over open fires, with large black cooking pots handing from three legged tri-pods. All the while children ran around chasing each other and playing. But the strange thing was the silence, no one made a sound, it was as if they could not see me, nor the man dressed in white.

So, as I am walking I kept asking the man, “who are these people?” He did not answer, so I asked “why can’t they hear me?” Again, he did not answer, it was then I knew they were dead. I became frightened, and confused as to why this man was showing me all these dead people. Finally we got to the end of the people, and the man turned to me, and said, “feel the pain.”

The dream was always the same and returned night after night. Each time I awoke in tears, but had no idea why. So, I talked to me pastor, in hopes he could help to bring me peace. I explained the dream, and he told me it was nothing. Not to worry it would stop. I asked if there was a meaning to this dream, and he told me “no.” So I sought out other pastors, and was also told, it meant nothing. But, the dreams continued, night after night.

At this point almost a month had passed, and I needed a answer. To find some way to make these stop, needless to say my family thought I had lost my mind. Finally I located a elder from my tribe, and picked up the phone and called him. I had been told, he could help me and give me peace. I told him about the dream, and he did have an answer. He explained the man in white was a holy man, more than likely one of my ancestors. He said that, I needed to feel the pain of my people. And until I did that, I would not have peace.

I have to admit, I really was not sure what he meant. There was so much pain in the past of our culture, I did not know where to start. But, I did start by visiting the graves of my people, and my ancestors. I learned as much as I could, looked at the Dawes rolls, and any and all death or census records I could find. Then suddenly the dreams stopped as suddenly as the started.

I went on this trip, to relax and enjoy myself. To try to forget the horrors of Pine Ridge and the poverty of the children. I hoped to put behind me the death of Ta’Shon, and enjoy myself. But that did not happen. I pulled off the road at Wind River Canyon, and saw what a shame it was that this was not “our country”. I saw the stolen land, the murders and the sickness of all of our people. I saw what was done to us, in all the beauty, I saw sadness.

I got back in my car, and tears streamed down my checks all the way through Wind River. When I arrived at Cody, I parked my car, my husband and I went into the pow wow. I could hear the drums, and the bells. They always make me feel proud, and I love the sound. It is almost like they have taken me to another time and another place. But this time it was different.

As we walked, we passed a tipi, and there were lots of tourist, and lots of dancers. I noticed a man and women, and a dancer. They walked up to him, and asked it they would get a picture with him in front of the tipi. It would seem inocent to most, but today was different. I watched as they stood next the the dancer, and posed for the picture.

At that moment, I looked into the eyes of the dancer and felt his pain. I was angry and sad, he was a sideshow freak to the tourist. Over the course of the next few hours I saw it again and again. Each time, inside I was screaming, they are not freaks, they are people! I wanted to grab them and tell them to stop! This is our heritage, and our country, and we are not freaks, or a character from a western novel.

This is the lesson I learned, and how I saw the pow wow and Wind River through different eyes.

Sign the petition: An open letter to our nation’s leadership

GLENN: I got a letter from a woman in Arizona. She writes an open letter to our nation’s leadership: I’m a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you’re willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now. You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would horribly feel so disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut job am I? Will you please tell me?

Well, these are briefly my views and issues for which I seek representation:

One, illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I’m not a racist. This isn’t to be confused with legal immigration.

Glenn Beck’s Common Sense
Now available in book stores nationwide…

Two, the TARP bill, I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you no, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.

Three: Czars, I want the circumvention of our checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution and honor it.

Four, cap and trade. The debate on global warming is not over. There is more to say.

Five, universal healthcare. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision. Don’t you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night and then go on break. Slow down!

Six, growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real obligations. Why don’t you start there.

Seven, ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes. Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census over with our taxpayer money. I don’t trust them with our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.

Eight, redistribution of wealth. No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs. That is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person. Why do you want me to hate my employers? Why ‑‑ what do you have against shareholders making a profit?

Nine, charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.

Ten, corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we’ll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. Have you ever ripped off a Band‑Aid? We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.

Eleven, transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let’s have it. Let’s say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please try ‑‑ please stop manipulating and trying to appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.

Twelve, unprecedented quick spending. Stop it now.

Take a breath. Listen to the people. Let’s just slow down and get some input from some nonpoliticians on the subject. Stop making everything an emergency. Stop speed reading our bills into law. I am not an activist. I am not a community organizer. Nor am I a terrorist, a militant or a violent person. I am a parent and a grandparent. I work. I’m busy. I’m busy. I am busy, and I am tired. I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawn, wash our cars on the weekends and be responsible contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same all while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.

I entrusted you with upholding the Constitution. I believed in the checks and balances to keep from getting far off course. What happened? You are very far off course. Do you really think I find humor in the hiring of a speed reader to unintelligently ramble all through a bill that you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not. It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face. I am not laughing at your arrogance. Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it but you should expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children. We did not want the TARP bill. We said no. We would repeal it if we could. I am sure that we still cannot. There is such urgency and recklessness in all of the recent spending.

From my perspective, it seems that all of you have gone insane. I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back. You have forced us to put our lives on hold to straighten out the mess that you are making. We will have to give up our vacations, our time spent with our children, any relaxation time we may have had and money we cannot afford to spend on you to bring our concerns to Washington. Our president often knows all the right buzzword is unsustainable. Well, no kidding. How many tens of thousands of dollars did the focus group cost to come up with that word? We don’t want your overpriced words. Stop treating us like we’re morons.

We want all of you to stop focusing on your reelection and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate I guarantee you not for long because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented. You think we’re so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the formerly silent majority, all of us who quietly work , pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone and we are now looking up at you. You have awakened us, the patriotic spirit so strong and so powerful that it had been sleeping too long. You have pushed us too far. Our numbers are great. They may surprise you. For every one of us who will be there, there will be hundreds more that could not come. Unlike you, we have their trust. We will represent them honestly, rest assured. They will be at the polls on voting day to usher you out of office. We have cancelled vacations. We will use our last few dollars saved. We will find the representation among us and a grassroots campaign will flourish. We didn’t ask for this fight. But the gloves are coming off. We do not come in violence, but we are angry. You will represent us or you will be replaced with someone who will. There are candidates among us when hewill rise like a Phoenix from the ashes that you have made of our constitution.

Democrat, Republican, independent, libertarian. Understand this. We don’t care. Political parties are meaningless to us. Patriotic Americans are willing to do right by us and our Constitution and that is all that matters to us now. We are going to fire all of you who abuse power and seek more. It is not your power. It is ours and we want it back. We entrusted you with it and you abused it. You are dishonorable. You are dishonest. As Americans we are ashamed of you. You have brought shame to us. If you are not representing the wants and needs of your constituency loudly and consistently, in spite of the objections of your party, you will be fired. Did you hear? We no longer care about your political parties. You need to be loyal to us, not to them. Because we will get you fired and they will not save you. If you do or can represent me, my issues, my views, please stand up. Make your identity known. You need to make some noise about it. Speak up. I need to know who you are. If you do not speak up, you will be herded out with the rest of the sheep and we will replace the whole damn congress if need be one by one. We are coming. Are we coming for you? Who do you represent? What do you represent? Listen. Because we are coming. We the people are coming.
