I feel as though I have been screaming into the wind.  The panic is the economic environment of our country, seems fueled by those who cannot understand.  The clear opposition to Congress passing a bill is apparent.  Many are opposed to this bail out bill.  I have read the entire bill, and will provide a link so you may also.  There have been many rumors swimming around like sharks circling their prey.

 

After reading the bill, I do not see it is that bad.  Let me explain, I work in the mortgage industry.  It is not a Bail Out for the rich, it does provide relief for a lot of people who are in trouble, and they are not rich.  Read the bill yourself and see.  I have heard many say, “why should we bail them out?”  Well, maybe a lot of Americans don’t understand just how bad things are.  But I am sure, we will all find out soon.

 

Everyone is really concerned about the cost of the bailout, but I have to ask. Does anyone have a better idea?  Karl Rove on fox last night suggested Mortgage Insurance.  Sounds like a good idea?  Well, yes but there is a lot more to it than that.  That certainly would help the Banks, but how will it help the average American? The answer is simple, it would not. 

 

The bill that was not passed, would at least given some relief to those most directly affected.  It would have stopped renters from being thrown into the street, if the landlord did not pay the mortgage.  It would have given home owners in trouble a change to re-finance or work out payment arrangements to stop foreclosures.  It would also stop the banks from closing, and the market from crashing.

 

I am sure most of Americans are thinking, so what? It doesn’t affect me! Everyone rightly is very concerned about the cost to all of us.  But the cost, of doing nothing could be more harmful than passing a bill.  I am sure many believe we should not all pay for the mistakes of others.  But, it is my belief that, we will all pay for doing nothing.

 

The thought that the Democrats could blame Bush for this it mess, is simply unbelievable.  This mess has been going on, like a small snowball since 1978.  If my memory services me right, President Carter was in Office.  Now the snowball is a boulder.

 

In the past two years, since the Dems took over Congress, gas prices have doubles, the dollar is almost worthless, and the overall economy is real bad. So, to blame bush, is unbelievable.  Now, we are all worried about our taxes being increased.   But a year from now, if Congress does what it has been doing all along, which is nothing. Then we will understand the after effects, of that plan.

 

What most do not understand this would not be a bailout of Wall Street.  It would be a bailout of Main Street.  When banks close and credit freezes, sales drop.  This leads to massive lay-offs. 

 

So, it could affect you, here an example how:

 

Let’s say you work at Wal-Mart, and your husband is an electrician.  Your teenage child works at McDonalds.  Now, Congress does nothing and wall Street crashes, banks close, foreclosures sky rocket. This causes massive unemployment, so at Walmart, slow sales, cause lay offs.  Now you have no job, then your husband gets laid off, cause credit is frozen, and no one can buy a house.  Then last of all, slow sales at McDonalds, your teenager is laid off.

 

Now that no one in your family has a job, you can’t pay your mortgage, and you are soon homeless.   So, I have to ask, should we pay a  more tax, to save our selves?  It the answer is no, then Don’t Say I didn’t tell you so…..

McCain Suspends Campain when the Wolves are At The Door..

John McCain suspends campain to deal with Economic Problems. All the while Senator Obama’s pulling down almost $300,000 a year from Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG, Countrywide Financial, and Washington Mutual? He has not even completed his fourth year in the Senate and received a total of $1,093,329.00 from these eight companies and their employees. (all data from OpenSecrets.org).

John McCain warned of this and tried to pass a bill to stop this, it was blocked by the democrats.  So, we have to ask ourselves, who really cares about this country?  And who really cares about his own financial assets.

 If a bill is not passed it could cause  the markets could open on Monday with a catastrophic loss if they think the rest of the investment banks will collapse (which is very possible without the bailout). There are only a few left and those have no cash at the moment. If investors panic start selling off stocks to liquidate and get cash en masse, the market could collapse.

What will Obama do?  Nothing… He already stated he will continue to campain, and give speeches. What else will obama do?  The answer is clear, just take more payoffs from these companies…….

He has not even completed his fourth year in the Senate and received a total of $1,093,329.00 from these eight companies and their employees. (all data from OpenSecrets.org). John McCain’s numbers, according to OpenSecrets.org for the period 1990-2008 (i.e., 18 years worth of data) only collected $549,584.00. In other words, Barack is receiving $273,582.25 (and 2008 is not over) per year while McCain raised a paltry $30,532.44.

Ever wonder just why, they are all giving Obama cash? It seems as though everyone  wants to blame the Wall Street mess on Republicans.  But the real truth is that the real estate market and the big players on Wall Street have been a Democratic game. McCain’s hands are clean when it comes to this mess. That is not spin, that is a fact. He proposed legislation back in 2006 to start addressing the abuses of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac but the Democrats would have none of it.

The mortgage industry holds the highest debt margin in the U.S. economy.

One of the major players in the market, at least until this month, is Fannie Mae. Fannie Mae was initially established in 1938 in order to provide a secondary mortgage market. What does this mean? It would buy mortgages from one lender and sell mortgages to another. It played the role of a broker who helped make the market work.

Fannie Mae because a private company in 1968 and continued to fund mortgages by issuing mortgage backed securities (i.e., MBS). When Fannie Mae issues the MBS she is guaranteeing the investors a return on their investment and, at the same time, providing a source of funds to supply additional mortgages.

You see, Fannie May needed some help on wall street, and to whom did they turn?  Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, and AIG, just to name some of the  prominent ones. 

It appears that James Johnson was in charge of Fannie Mae for 16 of the last 18 years.  Barack initially had him head up the Vice Presidential search team. He was Walter Mondale’s campaign manager in the 1984 mess and chaired the search committee for John Kerry. But he started as Vice Chairman of Fannie Mae in 1990, quickly moved up to be the CEO, and left Fannie in 1999 as Chairman of the Executive Committee.

 He also was one of the  directors of the board of Goldman Sachs in 1999 and also served as the Managing Director of Corporate Finance for Lehman Brothers. Then in 2005 Franklin Raines resigned from Fannie Mae, accused of being in charge when the books were crooked.  In  other words, top execitives made tons of money, when securites were sold.  Then it was discovered by the (SEC) Securities & Exchange Commission’s top accountant Fannie misstated earnings for 3 1/2 years, leading to an estimated $9 billion restatement that will wipe out 40% of profits from 2001 to mid-2004. In other words, they lied….

One thing about Franklin Raines. The Obama campaign can insist he is not an “official” advisor, but before the market blew up Raines was described in the Washington Post on 16 July 2008 as “taking calls from Barack Obama’s presidential campaign seeking his advice on mortgage and housing policy matters.” So, as you can see, Obama may claim not to know anything, but clearly he is in this mess deep.

 Fannie Mae was not just “selling” mortgage securities. It was also using its financial power to advance the agenda of the Democratic Party.  I thought the democrats were sopposed to be for the working man. Not the party to lie to line the pockets of the rich.  It appears, we were mislead again……….

Living On Borrowered Time…..

I understand that today’s economy is on every ones mind.  The question that most comes to mind, is how would a Obama Presidency effect our already fading economy?  The answer is clear, it would be devastating. 

The clear comparison between today’s failing economy and the “Great depression”, are to similar to ignore.   During the 1920’s there was a period of unequivocal spending.  This was a very prosperous time, the automobile was becoming affordable for every American family.

Much like the dream of owning a home today. The housing bubble that is bursting as we speak, has and will be devastating for the American economy.  The Meir reality is that it is only getting worse.  Many think that a “depression” is unlikely.   I however, am a realist.  I believe it is very possible, and very likely.

No economy can continue on the path we have been on for so many years, without repercussions. We are living on Borrowed time, literally.

For the most part, economists now know that the stock market did not cause the 1929 crash. It was itself a symptom of wildly erratic shifts in the nation’s money supply. The Federal Reserve System was the primary culprit, having stimulated a boom with dirt-cheap interest rates and easy money in the early ‘ 20s. By 1929, the central bank had jacked up rates so high that it choked off the boom and forced a reduction in the money supply by one-third between 1929 and 1933.

Sound familiar?  Easy Money?  Our the past few years, anyone with a heart beat could by a home.  The prices were inflated to unprecedented levels.   Credit cards, bad credit loans for anything you could wish for were dished out, like ice cream on a scoop.   I know, because my day job is mortgage servicing. 

The amount of ignorance and greed I have seen it unexplainable.  A single man 19 years old with no co-signer, who is employed at Walmart, can buy a 170,000.00 home.   That’s right, even if he has only been working at  Walmart for 3 months.    And even if he only makes 20,000.00 a year!  

I am sure many of you, who have not been involved in this scam, find this hard to believe.  This is how it works, a broker attempts to sell a home to this young man who works at Walmart, the home price is inflated due to rising markets.  In other words, in a few years the property will not be worth what is owed on it.  The broker will be paid for a sale, not the quality of the sale.

The buyer fills out a credit application, and does not have to verify any of the information.  No employment verification, no references, nothing.  If the new buyer does not have enough income, that’s OK.  The broker can clearly help out with that.  If you receive Child Support, add that in.  It does not matter if it is not always there.  If you babysit, add that in, be sure to add some extra to ensure you have enough income to qualify for the loan.

In other words, say you have more income than you really have.  It was fine, cause no one checks, remember?  No Money down was also a easy fix, these lenders just gave them a second mortgage for that. This makes the investment from a new buyer $0.00.

These loans are then signed, much to the buyers surprise, at a really high monthly payment.  You see, the lenders do a financial analysis for them.  Then tell the buyer you can afford a $800.00 a month payment.  Now remember, this is based on false income information. 

Some buyers attempt to tell the lender, this is not possible, but pushy brokers, simply tell them its OK.  In a year, we will refinance you and lower your payments.  That refinance, never comes.  So, what we have, is many, many buyers would should not have qualified. They struggle for a few years, just trying to get by. 

Then the single man, gets married and starts a family.  This is a problem, mainly beacuse he could hardly afford the mortgage before.  Now, he has two more mouths to feed, and also a car and truck payment.   He applies for credit cards, and begins to pay his bills with his credit cards.  By now, this is all that’s keeping him from being homeless.

Circumstances such as the example above, are common in today’s mortgage world.  Once these loans are finished, they are sold in bulk to financial institutions.  Most servicers, trust that they are “good paper”.  (good credit, good job) But in the reality, most are not.  It is only when the servicer begins to attempt to collect, that the truth comes out.  By then it is to late, and they end up with a note that is only worth a foreclosure. 

Now that lenders are trying to tighten things up, due to all the problems the lies have caused.  So once these loans are foreclosed on, they sit unsold.  Now, with inflated prices, and tightening up the lending practices, many buyers cannot qualify.  Why?  cause they really have to qualify.  No more lies, about your job, income or anything. All of a sudden you have to prove what is on your credit application. 

This causes a trickle down effect, no credit, no more living on borrowed time.  No more, three or fours cars, or houses that you can’t afford.  This effects all of the economy, banks close, jobs are lost and everyone stops buying cars, houses, and many other items.  So, now comes the government to bail us all out.  In  other words, its a band aid on a mortal wound.

In 1930, Congress took a recession and turned it into a Great Depression. It raised tariffs so high they virtually closed the borders to imports and exports. It doubled income tax rates in 1932. Franklin Roosevelt, who campaigned on a platform of less government, actually gave America much more. His “New Deal” raised taxes (he once proposed a 99.5 percent tax rate on incomes over $100,000), punished investment, and smothered business with red tape and regulations.

If you think it can’t happen, think again.  Obama wishes to raise taxes, and slow international trade.  More government is his plan, again all we have to do is look to the past to see the future.   Needless to say, to raise taxes and add more government could lead to another “depression”.   Not to mention the fact, that Obama has no idea how to fix this problem. The thing is, it may not be a fixable problem.   He took funds to do nothing, now what is it worth to fix it?  We will find out, as our taxes will pay for it….This only proves the corruption deep within the party.  This party must be stopped at all costs, our future depends on it…

Everyday, The Huffington Post never ceases to amaze me.  It appears that the Kool Aid Drinkers keep grasping at any way to sway the rest of the party.  Desperate times call for desperate means.  So, by any means necessary, they continue their quest.  With A Obama presidency slipping through the sticky Kool Aid hands, his supporters are just about out of ideas.  The article in the post today, proves that.  If it was not so pathetic, I would find it almost amusing….

 

The Obama team is suddenly making a huge effort to gain women’s votes, but many die-hard Hillary supporters — dozens of my acquaintances — remain bruised and confused. The fact that Palin is on the ticket when HRC wasn’t even vetted may turn out to have been the major gaffe of Axelrod and Company, and the tipping point of this tight election. If you’ve been an outspoken Obama supporter from the beginning, it’s time to make amends with Hillary supporters you know. Arguing with, or browbeating them to get on board is counterproductive, but showing you’ve come around to respecting Hillary may ease their hurt enough to do the trick. (Even if you don’t mean it. This is politics.) Here’s what you can do: Eat crow. To get started, memorize this phrase, take a deep breath and say: “Now that I see how unqualified Sarah Palin is, I realize how I misjudged Hillary Clinton. Even Biden said she would have made a great vice president.” Saying you wish she were the presidential nominee may go too far, and you may not be able to get it out. But if the Hillaryite brings it up, don’t argue, and see below. Let the HRC voter vent. You may have to draw on every bit of patience you have. You may have to hear once again how unfair it is that the Repubs chose Palin, and the Dems ignored Hillary, and that the party would assuredly be ahead if she were anywhere on the ticket. You may have to hear old-news complaints about sexism and Jack Cafferty’s curmudgeonly comments, David Shuster’s pimping Chelsea insult, the Monica mentions, the tougher debate questions for Hillary. Do not look like you want to run and soak your head in vodka, even if you do. Do not talk unless asked. Listening without argument is the major way to keep this potential voter attainable. Act empathic. Nod your head in agreement when the subject of Palin or Chris Matthews or Keith Olbermann’s Hillary-bashing commentary is mentioned. Learn these phrases and use them every so often: “I imagine it must be hard.” “It must seem unfair.” “I know, you wanted to see an accomplished woman as president in your lifetime.” “I can understand your being hurt (sad, mad, furious, despondent, livid, resentful, apoplectic, intransigent, inconsolable, red-faced, nauseous, wretched, shit-faced”). Again, do not argue. Just listen. Do not praise Obama. I know, this seems ridiculous, but now is not the time in this chain of events. Also, do not praise Michelle or their daughters. If the HRC supporter praises, agree and move on. This is not so much about Obama as it is the closure about Hillary’s run, which remains a wound to some. Take a breath, and move to the next step, which may be the hardest. Praise HRC. Never mention her flaws. Be gracious and do not bring up her vote for the war, or her “dirty campaign.” Do not allude to Bill. Instead, try to find something you can praise with some conviction — some version of “By the end of the campaign I could understand why people were so enthusiastic about Senator Clinton (not “Hillary”). I saw her toughness, her brains, her heart.” “She is gracious and helpful in defeat.” And especially, “Sarah Palin is no Hillary Clinton.” You may have to go back to steps one and two. Nobody said this would be easy. Know your anti-female McCain political facts. Here comes the logic. Make a cheat-sheet if necessary. If Palin can get past her ignorance about The Bush Doctrine and the Constitution in prime time, you can learn these few talking points. Remind HRC supporters that several Supreme Court nominees (and Roe v Wade) are in the balance. Discuss McCain/Palin’s ultra-conservative record, and stands on right- to- life, guns, creationism, you name it. You’ll need to do some homework here. Wikipedia and Google are there for you at all times. Know your anti-female McCain emotional facts. If the above doesn’t do it, remain low-key, with a pleasant visage. Remind HRC supporters that McCain left his disfigured first wife who waited loyally for him and raised their children alone, to have an affair with Cindy, the current, rich, much younger wife. But aha, continuing this behavior, he probably cheated on this trophy with blonde lobbyist, Vicky Isenman. (Where is this woman? In a rendition prison in Syria till after the election? Hello, National Enquirer.) Remind the Hillary fan that McCain called his $300k-suited trophy wife the C- word in public, and has a notoriously terrible temper. And worst of all, and leave this for the climax of this entire exercise: McCain publicly laughed at the allusion to HRC as a “bitch” and — lowest of the low — made that public Chelsea Clinton ugly joke when she was just a teen. See here. Know your Palin political and emotional facts. Emphasize that Palin is against almost everything that Hillary stands for. List these things. Be sure to mention that she called Hillary “a whiner.” Then ask, “Do you really want this undeserving woman to break the glass ceiling before someone as deserving and qualified as Hillary Clinton?” If you did your best but it didn’t work, leave the door open. Don’t lose it and attack the HRC supporter for being stupid, intransigent, short-sighted, emotional, unpatriotic, and thinking with her nether regions, even if those feelings are coursing inside you. Do not use the term “bitch,” even though McCain did. Hillary supporters may not want to tell you that you’ve reached them. Assume it will take a few tries. And even if these voters don’t admit they’ve changed their minds, at a minimum, your attempt at taking one for the team may influence them enough to keep them from voting for McCain, or bad-mouthing Obama’s so-far wobbly candidacy. If each die-hard Obama supporter could convince even one disgruntled HRC supporter that he or she respects Hillary Clinton, it just might help secure this election. Even if you still don’t like HRC, consider yourselves citizen-patriots, suck it up, and do your part to save our country. And fast, please.

The reason I find this so amusing, is I thought we were not needed?  Is that not what we were told months ago, by the Obama camp?  The entire base of the party, was thrown under the bus, at least thats how I saw it. So, now not only is Obama is a wolf in sheeps clothing, it seems his supporters will be to. All I can say to them is “good luck with that”  LOL!!!!

Understanding Obama & The Bots

Ok, so I know the video is long.  Do not let that scare you, for those who hit the stop button, go back up and play it.  Its well worth it.  As many of you know, I have done alot of research on the democratic party, and the suffrage movement.  You also know I am a third generation democrat. 

Most of us, for the past few months, have stood around with our arms in the air, saying “but, I am liberal so why are the obots not like me?”  The times I have heard, you can’t talk to Obama supporters, because its always about race, are to numerous to count. We have over the past few months, wondered why they don’t see what we clearly see. 

I do have some favorite words, from this video, you can read them below:

When I was five years old, the New York World’s Fair closed up in my neighborhood, down the street from me, and I insisted that my father buy the monorail that went around the park because I want­ed to put it up alongside the Long Island Express­way and ease congestion and pollution because I was a liberal kid. He explained to me in grown-up fashion that we couldn’t afford it and, technically, there were problems like getting the rights of way, creating a bureaucracy, etc.

When you have a conversation with a Modern Liberal about health care, there’s no doubt that their goal is as good as mine was: curing air pollu­tion or curing everybody’shealth problems. But if you don’t have the grown-up sense to be able to discuss how, what’s the reality, what’s the truth, you can’t have a conversation where you make the world a better place. It’s all fantasy at that point. Again, you’re dealing with a five-year-old, so of course she wants to make the world a better place. Very, very few of us don’t.

It’s a matter of having given up the ability to dis­criminate: (a) they can’t bring it about because it’s a childish conversation; and (b) when you have to make the decisions about who gets certain things– for example, health care, welfare, or illegal aliens– certain decisions have to be made about who quali­fies for it, and when you’re just going through indis­criminately giving all these benefits, then you’re actually going to be assisting that which is most failed because they’re the ones who are going to be most in need.

What you have is people who think that the best way to eliminate rational thought, the best way to eliminate the attempt to be right, is to work always to prove that right isn’t right and to prove that wrong isn’t wrong. You see this in John Lennon’s song “Imagine”: “Imagine there’s no countries.” Not imagine great countries, not imagine defeat the Nazis, but imagine no religions, and the key line is imagine a time when anything and everything that mankind values is devalued to the point where there’s nothing left to kill or die for.

So, my summary, after watching the video, and reading the transcript at least three times, is as follows:

We are what used to be the party, they are the future. Unless, we find a way to change it.  I still consider myself a liberal democrat, because I am, in every sence of the word.  True Liberals founded this country, Jefferson, Washington and all the others.  The difference is, we like those before us, were and are realist.  We understand, that even though we have liberal ideas, there has to be a means to accomplish them.  In other words, we have a plan, not just “hope”. 

That plan, includes knowing what is right and what is wrong, and that not everything about this country is evil.  I choose not to blame others for the wrong in my life.  I still believe in free speech, free press and the Constitution, even though the far left have abused it so badly. Even though I am a liberal, like you, I love my country.

So, where does this leave us, the base of the party?  We now must choose between the three headed monster, (the republicans).  Or what is left of our own.  To be honest, after all that I have found, those three headed Republicans look better and better every day. 

We must also consider taking back what is ours, the democratic party.  The corruption of the new “hopey changy”, party, runs so deep I am not sure we will ever know how many are really involved.  If this is indeed the case, we as democrats, must clean house. 

I understand that throwing the baby out with the bathwater, is not always what is best.  However, if we want our party back this is what we must do.  I understand there are still good dems out there, but, its like looking for a needle in a haystack. 

So, this time, the needs of the many out weight the needs of the few.  To save our party and country, we must vote a straight Republican ticket.  I understand how hard this is for everyone, but we must hold our noses and do it.   There are 48 days till the general, and we do not have time to educate all voters, in regard to who holds these far left beliefs. This is far beyond just Hillary anymore, and if we want to save our party, we must do this.

Once our house is clean, we can begin again………

 

 

 

 

 

Sex Education For Every Kindergardener!

7        Sec. 27-9.1.  Sex Education.
8        (a) No pupil shall be required to take or participate  in
9    any  class  or  course  in comprehensive sex education if the
10    pupil’s his parent  or  guardian  submits  written  objection
11    thereto, and refusal to take or participate in such course or
12    program  shall  not  be reason for suspension or expulsion of
13    such  pupil.  Each  class  or  course  in  comprehensive  sex
14    education offered in any of  grades  K  6  through  12  shall
15    include instruction on the prevention of sexually transmitted
16    infections, including the prevention, transmission and spread
17    of HIV AIDS. Nothing in this Section prohibits instruction in
18    sanitation, hygiene or traditional courses in biology.

Ok, so let me ask, just how do you teach a five year old about AIDS.  Or transmittable infections, unless you teach   sex.  To teach any five year old sex,  is just wrong.  Thankfully, this bill did not pass, but the attempt was there, by Obama.  He did not sponcer it, but did vote for this bill.

I have always considered myself a liberal, but this election season, nothing surprises me anymore.  I have a granddaughter who started kindergarten this year.  The very thought of this kind of legislation, makes me sick.  How anyone could think this is ok is beyond me.  The Obama campaign would like everyone to think it is not true, but here is the bill, read it for yourself and decide.

All’s Fair in Lies & War?

Many politicians seem to be above the law, but none more than Obama. His attempt to make a back room deal with General Petreaus, and Foreign Minister Hoshvar on the withdraw of forces from Iraq, shows his true colors.  There has been little debate, among PUMA members that Obama is anti – American.  But this latest attempt, shows more of his non-concern for American troops.  They are but another political ploy in his strategy.

WHILE campaigning in public for a speedy withdrawal of US troops from Iraq, Sen. Barack Obama has tried in private to persuade Iraqi leaders to delay an agreement on a draw-down of the American military presence.

According to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Obama made his demand for delay a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders in Baghdad in July.

“He asked why we were not prepared to delay an agreement until after the US elections and the formation of a new administration in Washington,” Zebari said in an interview.

Obama insisted that Congress should be involved in negotiations on the status of US troops – and that it was in the interests of both sides not to have an agreement negotiated by the Bush administration in its “state of weakness and political confusion.”

“However, as an Iraqi, I prefer to have a security agreement that regulates the activities of foreign troops, rather than keeping the matter open.” Zebari says.

Though Obama claims the US presence is “illegal,” he suddenly remembered that Americans troops were in Iraq within the legal framework of a UN mandate. His advice was that, rather than reach an accord with the “weakened Bush administration,” Iraq should seek an extension of the UN mandate.

While in Iraq, Obama also tried to persuade the US commanders, including Gen. David Petraeus, to suggest a “realistic withdrawal date.” They declined.

Obama has made many contradictory statements with regard to Iraq. His latest position is that US combat troops should be out by 2010. Yet his effort to delay an agreement would make that withdrawal deadline impossible to meet.

Supposing he wins, Obama’s administration wouldn’t be fully operational before February – and naming a new ambassador to Baghdad and forming a new negotiation team might take longer still.

By then, Iraq will be in the throes of its own campaign season. Judging by the past two elections, forming a new coalition government may then take three months. So the Iraqi negotiating team might not be in place until next June.

Then, judging by how long the current talks have taken, restarting the process from scratch would leave the two sides needing at least six months to come up with a draft accord. That puts us at May 2010 for when the draft might be submitted to the Iraqi parliament – which might well need another six months to pass it into law.

 

I have to assume Obama, has never heard of Logan’s Law:

The Logan Act is a United States federal law that forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments. It was passed in 1799 and last amended in 1994. Violation of the Logan Act is a felony, punishable under federal law with imprisonment of up to three years.

The text of the Act is broad and is addressed at any attempt of a US citizen to conduct foreign relations without authority. However, there is no record of any convictions or even prosecutions under the Logan Act.^[1][2]

Passed under the administration of President John Adams, during tension between the U.S. and France, it was informally named for Dr. George Logan of Pennsylvania, a state legislator (and later US Senator) and pacifist who in 1798 engaged in semi-negotiations with France during the Quasi-War.^[1]

Kevin Kearney, writing in the Emory Law Journal, described Dr. Logan’s activities in France:

Upon his arrival in Paris, he met with various French officials, including Talleyrand. During these meetings, he identified himself as a private citizen, discussed matters of general interest to the French, and told his audience that anti-French sentiment was prevalent in the United States. Logan’s conversation with Merlin de Douai, who occupied the highest political office in the French republic, was typical. Logan stated that he did not intend to explain the American government’s position, nor to criticize that of France. Instead, he suggested ways in which France could improve relations with the United States, to the benefit of both countries. He also told Merlin that pro-British propagandists in the United States were portraying the French as corrupt and anxious for war, and were stating that any friend of French principles necessarily was an enemy of the United States. Within days of Logan’s last meeting, the French took steps to relieve the tensions between the two nations; they lifted the trade embargo then in place, and released American seamen held captive in French jails. Even so, it seems that Logan’s actions were not the primary cause of the Directory’s actions; instead, Logan had merely provided convenient timing for the implementation of a decision that had already been made.^[3]

This is what Obama was trying to stop, so he could take the credit for the withdraw.

Zebari: US and Iraq close to signing pact

Iraqi Foreign Minister Hosheyar Zebari announced that the United States and Iraq are close to signing an agreement that might allow the withdrawal of most US Forces from Iraq from the present time until the year 2011 considering that any early US withdrawal might slip the country anew into violence. Zebari explained that the Parliament has one text of the security agreement that requires a political resolution to be accepted by the government.

The Foreign Minister asserted that Iraq is ready to resume talks with the United States and Iran and is discussing with both parties a date to hold a new round of talks. Zebari revealed that Al Qaeda is facing difficulties in Iraq due to US strikes strategy, the improvement of Iraqi security forces and the unity of Sunni leaders against insurgents. He added however that this progress is still not enough as it should be supported by political improvement.

Obama does NOT want to see any more plans to bring troops home, being announced before election day.

 

So, we all already know Obama thinks he is above the law, so what’s one more law broken matter? So, I have to assume alls fair in lies & war?  At least that’s how it seems, while campaigning against the war in Iraq, he is again trying to fool the American people.  Where are those 527’s when you need them?

We  We have all heard the stories of bravery and honor as we nodded our heads. We have all heard the stories of hardships,suffering and injustice as we shook our heads. This is a story of both.  My name is Richard and I am Prairie Band Potawatomi  but this story concerns all Native Americans who ever served in the United States armed forces.    We were unjustly and illegally taxed by our individual states while serving in uniform .I grew up in Kansas on the reservation and joined the army in 1981 when I was 20 years old.  I joined out of a sense of patriotism and pride in my country. Most of the adult men  and several women  in my family served in the armed forces.    When I joined the army it was my first real job including paying and filing taxes.I served my country 20 years and am a Gulf war veteran with a 60% disability rating from the VA. I retired September 1st 2001. Two years after I retired I found out that  myself and every other Native American who claimed the reservation as our homes when we joined  were illegally taxed.  In 2001 ,in keeping with tribal sovereignty, the policy of witholding state taxes from our military pay was changed. Although the  illegal taxation of Native service members  has stopped we have not yet received   our money back .        As a group Native Americans have served this country in greater numbers year after year than any other ethnic group in history.    Most or a majority  of them were undoubtedly  living on their reservation or other Indian lands when they joined and therefore not subject to state taxes.    We served honorably and some of us never came home. After learning of this illegal taxation I asked a friend to help write a petition in hopes of regaining the money  that was taken from us. I am not the only one. If I joined in 1981 and served 20 years and was taxed by my state the whole time.What about all the Native Peoples who served since WW1. I heard of the Native Reels Project and had this story to share

It has come to my attention that Obama is about to replace Joe Biden.  These are RUMORS…. At this time, I am still attempting to verify the sources.  If in fact they are true, Native Americans Against Obama- is still against Obama.  I understand this could mean a major change for a lot of PUMA’s.

 

However, this will not affect our group.  We have always been against Obama, and will continue to do so, no matter who is on the ticket with him.   If this stance offences anyone, I am deeply sorry.  But, if we are made to choose, this will be our choice and decision.

 

I believe this is just a political trick, by the Obama campaign, if it in fact is true. I am sure it comes from desperation, on the behalf of the Obama camp.  Again, I cannot stress enough, if it is true.  But on the assumption it is, I want all to know where this group will stand.  It will stand against Obama, period!  So, this is fair warning, to the DNC , Senator Clinton, Obama and all else. 

 

THIS WILL NOT GET THE VOTES OF NATIVE AMERICANS AGAINST OBAMA!    IT IS TO LATE….

We all knew it was only a matter of time, and does I told you so mean anything to the DNC?  With slipping poll numbers for Obama, this could not come at a better time.  Hopefully these ads will help, with many undecided voters.  I know that the kool-aid drinkers are not going to be happy about this.   But, it should have been expected, you were all warned.  Months ago, Hillary and all of the PUMA’s tried to make this known.  But our words fell on deaf ears, and no one believed this would happen.  But, the ONE is not perfect, and now his time of reckoning  has arrived……

Below is a speech made by John McCain this morning in regard to Sept. 11.  Sentor Obama, was a no show, but did send a email….Think I am joking?  I am not, at the end of the article you can find a link to the source…..This shows his clear lack of concern for America. This is just a appalling as his refusal to visit wounded soldiers.

How could any American be so inconsiderate as to not say a few words today.   Obama, who wants to be the leader of the free world, could not even take more than enough time to right a email.   Please remember this the next time, you ask me “WHY MCCAIN?………………..

Republican John McCain, in Shanksville, Pa.:

No American living then should ever forget the heroism that occurred in the skies above this field on Sept. 11, 2001. It is believed that the terrorists on United Flight 93 may have intended to crash the airplane into the United States Capitol. Hundreds if not thousands of people would have been at work in that building when that fateful moment occurred, and been destroyed along with a beautiful symbol of our freedom. They and, very possibly I, owe our lives to the passengers who summoned the courage and love necessary to deny our depraved and hateful enemies their terrible triumph.

I have witnessed great courage and sacrifice for America’s sake, but none greater than the sacrifice of those good people who grasped the gravity of the moment, understood the threat, and decided to fight back at the cost of their lives.

I spoke at the memorial service for one of them, Mark Bingham. I acknowledged that few of us could say we loved our country as well as he and all the heroes of Sept. 11 had. The only means we possess to thank them is to try to be as good an American as they were. We might fall well short of their standard, but there is honor in the effort.

In the Gospel of John it is written, ‘Greater love hath no man than this: that a man lay down his life for his friends.’ Such was their love; a love so sublime that only God’s love surpasses it. I am in awe of it as much as I am in debt to it. May God bless their souls.
